True - this is a bad update
someone said earlier good but think although officer income is not affected aka the officer gets the same income - is your CO really wanna keep you.
If this update was made to stop people like JMX from having so many officers that they get a total up of 1.3 million or there abouts a day with a raw of say 100-150K and no planets.
Then why not change it and make it so that you can only recieve in total 2 times your raw up from officers ( all together not each)
That way its still worth having officers ( just a couple), more people would have officers as they would now be spread out more
and the bigger you get the more you can have which is true in RL - the stronger a country is the more they can protect.
Not that i had a problem with what it was and i feel sorry for people like JMX, but i think good things could have been done here to stablise it but instead as stated you might as well remove it cos your now only gonna have officers if you have no income or they are RL friends

Wouldn't it make sense that if this update were to stay, that officers should not get bonuses from their CO's planets as well?
If they're taking the planets out of the officer to CO UP equation, doesn't it make sense to do the same in the other direction for naq to officers?

Correct me if I was wrong, but I believe you get the 30% from only the CO's natural income (so miners).

I tried it once when I had an officer. He received the increased income from the planets, but I don't think it was deducted from my increase in naq.
Basically it appeared that it was naq that was pulled outta thin air as both received extra naq.

I did mention that many players were complaining about this, but he does seem to agree with the reasoning that was brought to him about the UP circle bonuses.
If you guys don't beat me to it, I'll ask for an offical explaination at the meeting tomorrow.

I think that updates should be discussed openly amoungest the game developer/editor and players, so both parties can discuss and debate the issue.

The commander and alliance update took monthes to get implemented, and OF COURSE something NOONE heard about comes in to screw all positive, while the commander one was SUGGESTED SEVERAL TIMES already on admin meetings, but hey, takes more to put in the ones who get obviously large support and backers on most of meetings, than one that comes from nowhere to screw all.
I think admin should take care to check on each suggest if they get backup on forums, that way, THIS, would NEVER happen

I agree with admin meets, but since not everyone can fit them into their schedule it would be best if any and all update be discussed between game developer/editor and players on the SGW community board, before being put into effect.
