heh, it was sarcasm. I'd post the French translation but I didn't bother trying to learn the language after realizing that I'd never be flexible enough to shove my nose up my own ass, a requirement for speaking French.

:lol:

No it just needs some language skills and a taste for culture, that, strangely, all people I know of who are from various countries and talk it, have as well... :?

Strange strange strange isn't it? :roll:

Well afterall blaming cultured people is common in all countries of the world :lol:

hmm, maybe this is a too serious topic for me to reply, but talking from a country that had a dictarship thrown out in by a rebelion 34 years ago, without the use of guns, it was called the carnations rebellion, we'll still facing the consequences of that dictarship in our economy

the right to everyone to bear arms, has you said robin, its not the reason why the us government is on their toes always :? having opposite sides on a government and having laws to distribute power through the government is (congress, senate, presidency) your president is the commander of the armed forces yes, but he needs the congress to back him up, and since the congress is made up by different sides of politcs, he doesnt always gets his way, cause it would be like a dictarship if he did ;)

and i agree with apophis, having an easy way to get guns is the primary way to raise crime, but again, im from a country where is not that easy to get guns, but crime is off the charts in EU :?

this is too serious subject to be in general :? it isnt sgw related, my thoughts are with the burmese ppl, but without foreign aid, the only way their government is going down, is when another powerfull person, already in the government (ie. military) wants more power, and it will be the same thing, but a civil war would happen and the ppl would be the ones suffering like always :?

Distributing weapons to Burmese people will only cause civil war...and that doesn't help much after such a terrible event!

@nox

Heh, I'm just winding up Apop. Like you, I feel a tremendous amount of sympathy for anyone, including the Burmese, who suffer at the hands of a corrupt and evil government.

@Apop

Isn't "cultured" and "surrender" the same word in French? :P

Most funny is that I talked about people from UK, NL, Spain, etc...who spoke french and were cultured people as well...
So I FAIL to see the success of this petty insult :?
Meh, just throwing nonsense randomness to hope annoyance will occur aren't we? :lol:

And if you think I, or all french people agrees with what coward sixty eight years ago did you really are...unknowledged! :lol:

heh Apop, I'm just French bashing. I have no clue what surrender and cultured are in French unless I looked it up online.

Anyway, if your definition of cultured includes speaking French as a requirement, I guess I'll just have to fall into the "uncultured American" stereotype as I only bothered to master English, Spanish, and some Russian. :P

@Brd
It would be nice if they could get the aid they desperately need. :?

The US has it's own share of problems there too. This recent "Patriot Act" is a step in the right direction.

Cultured doesn't meet it, people who talk many languages are cultured, not really the amount that counts, but many other factors it's not subject to mention here :p
Cultured people are also above the country insults, simply because they dont stand in ebaumsworld strangecosmos or albinosheep style of fun, they are above it ;)

Nox I guess you refer to Quarter finals of last worldcup heh...

And well this should stop indeed and be splitted by a mod!

Nah, you've gotten "cultured" and "obnoxious" mixed up. I am both. ;)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Hitler disarmed Germany in order to take ful control.

How can you defend yourself from the Government without being armed?
