two hits= heavy farming
three hits= declaration of all out war

Frankly, that description in there is a load of rubbish, and is only an opinion (possibly of only 1 person) - it isn't a rule - or the consensus of the majority, and never has been (no matter what it claims) - therefore everyone should give it the stiff ignoring it deserves.
I honestly don't know where some people dredge these things up - this 3 hit thing just seemed to come out of nowhere because somebody said it - pfft!

I have been massed down for my naq, but I don't complain, I use the 10x rule. If my naq is more than 1/10 my defense, I never complain, it was a fair hit in my eyes. If they persist, I try setting them to peace, if they continue (which very few do), I seek alternate ways to stop them.
I get attacked every night while I sleep, and I understand that happens because I simply won't put that much defense out to destroy, I just do my best to keep the levels down, and try to keep as much as I can. This is a war game, expect to be attacked occasionally!

Well Well I do send a pm when they hit me 1 time... I dont make such a big deal about it but what the Pm say's is total diffrent.
24 hours to receive everthing back. If not well big problemo's for them. Besides... why trying to bother someone while u have more to lose than him ?
ofcource I do farm and get 0 PMs from those certain people... unlucky me.

It may be just me but some of the arguments I've seen here seem a tad hypocritical.
You want to attack someone for their naq, once, twice, three or even 100 times then awesome, as you've pointed out, it's a war game, part of the game is about attacking others.
But another important part of war is protecting what's yours. If you attack someone, even just once, then why shouldn't they at the very least ask you not to do it again? Or if they feel so inclined mass your defence to the ground for even trampling their soil. As so many people have pointed out, it is a war game.
To use a real world example like we all love to do, if North Korea invaded the South to take say, 500 tons of rice and the South asked them to stop doing that, do you think saying "we only did it twice this week, stop your complaining" would prevent further complaining, or even a war?
Anyway, just to summarise my thoughts on the matter, you can attack whom ever you wish for what ever reason you wish but you can't expect them to be happy about it. That's just silly.

Agreed Wolf and Blahh, I remember the old days when people claiming to be getting "farmed" and others finding that they were only get hit once or twice a day often got farmed and massed so they would learn what it really was, lol.
Ahhh, how times have changed.....

Getting farmed is when Blahh attacks you twice a day. I when out hunting for some naq recently. I hit a dozen people at most. I got set to peace by two
I find it funny how some players say what farming is but certain alliances.. if you attack one their members once you get massed by the whole alliance.. contradiction? I think so.
I agree though - 2 attacks in 10 days isn't farming. As I said before getting attacked by Blahh twice a day for a a while is farming. I only ever sent him one message. congratulating him on taking 230bil off me when my PPT ran out

Agree smoosh - protecting what's your is also part of it - but to call 2 attacks farming is ludicrous!!!
The best part is, I said this to one of the guys, and even offered him advice on how to avoid it in thefuture - and he just ran to his commander!
lol
after his commander asked me to stop (one of the first messages) - I sent him a pm pointing out that 2 attacks isn't farming and that if his officer is going to continually leave 8 - 10 billion naq out with only a 20 billion defence, then he should expect his naq to be stolen. Wanna see the latest reply?
though trying to advize him is respectable.. 2 hits are 2 hits too many... there are plenty of non active farms out there to be hitting someone new and inexperianced. And i have asked you to stop, at the request of my commander. so. i would just advize to look else where
Cry me a river.

why is it ludicrous? im asking because everything done in this game is based on the opinion of the player, from the reason or excuses used to mass people to deciding what a vulture is or is not.
so why cant a person decide was farming is? after all some mass after X number of hits, some only give you hit and mass you into the ground for it.
seems fitting a person should decide for themselves what farming is if they can decide to mass you back for one hit 5 hits or to run to their CO or alliance for help.
i guess this is similar to the people who get mad for getting massed for hitting someone or farming someone. they feel they shouldnt be massed for only a couple hits while at the same time are not willing to let someone else hit them a couple times in turn.
i've massed people for a single hit. that one hit to me is farming. the reason i view it as farming is if i do nothing about it, it implies im ok with you taking my resources and you'll come back to take more resources. so i mass before the 2nd, 3rd, 4th hits occur. i call it farm prevention.
you can call it whatever you want, i'll call it whatever i want and that'll be that. because fact is its all up to the individual player to decide what it is and how to react to it, not you.

I understand the situation and I don't think what you're doing is unreasonable but I just don't see what they're doing is unreasonable either. They asked you not to do it again, so you've got a choice. Do it or don't, either is fine and entirely up to you, just be prepared for the concequences (Assuming they have the stones to do it of course).
At the end of the day, it's a wargame and you attacked them. Why on earth shouldn't they threaten war back? I quite often see members of certain large unnamed alliances leave large sums of naq out. I always suspect it's so that they can just hammer some poor sucker who takes it. Again, it's a war game, why do it? Because you can.
Farm freely my friends, farm freely.
