Are you talking about the cuts in the supports, or that Bin Ladin was on the American Black Ops budget. Please, back up your information and cite your sources which declares this to be true about 9/11. And please make it something besides an "Omg, the Establishment sucks" website. 9/11 commission report would be best, with chapter so I can find it in the one I will be reading soon.

As for Pearl, I know we had the intelligence. But I do believe it was more of a "They're planning something against Pearl" rather than "Be alert at XXX hours on December 7. The commanders were warned, though not forcefully, and they disregarded it. I believe some information was withheld, but there was a headsup given that was disregarded because the location of the Japanese carrier groups was unknown and nobody thought they were actually going to do it. Sabotage seemed more likely than the first major carrier attack ever seen by the world.

ok I will post to you a large portion of details and facts that have studied. However you must realize that in order to make such a post it would be very large in content and also would require an immense amount of reading. It will also require some patcience on your side as I begin typing it all up. So I will return to this thread and give you a complete type out of details and facts collected that make me and 80% or more of americans believe that 9/11 was an inside job and it was staged by your goverment so that the american people would support a "War on Terrorism".

Strange, you say midday, but I remember the attacks occuring in the morning of my fifth grade year. So, what's so unreasonable about having midday patrols after a crisis?

The 911 conspiracy was more like a neglect. It goes as follows:

The government KNEW 911 was going to happen and they turned their head a looked the other way. They did this because it would give them free reign to do whatever the hell they pleased during a time of "war on terror".

Anyone that didn't support that war was labeled unpatriotic and a stupid hippy. Even me. I also think we owe the Dixie Chicks an apology as well.

Well, in the first stretch of Bush's presidency the jackass did nothing but play golf at crawford ranch. That should have been a big red flag right there to everyone that your president doesn't give two rats asses about you or your country.

Well, the memo was given to him during his golf binge weeks before 911.

At the bottom of the page it says, "For the President Only". and the memo warns that Osam Bin Laden's Al Quada was planning to strike the US. The terrorist group planning to hijack our own planes.

Even reminds the pres that Bin Laden had stated in a 1990's television interview he wanted to to "follow the example of World Trade Center bomber Ramzi Yousef and bring the fighting to America.

What did our president do? He probably **Filtered** about the messenger screwing up his golf swing.

You don't need a panel or comission to determine that the administration failed to prevent 911. WHY?? Because it gave them a good excuse to do great works in this world and our nation. After all, if we were at war, who would question the administration?

It's obvious that 911 was welcomed with open arms by the Bushies and milked for all it was worth.

Everything is so simple in hindsight, isn't it? However, I find it strange that most of those reports were gathered during... Clinton's term in office? Yeah, wrong guy. Furthermore, there are a couple of points made in that article you seemed to have deliberately overlooked.

One, Al-Qaeda planned years in advance. So, how is a transcript shown a month in advance (and a lot can happen in a month, mind you), going to suddenly enlighten the entire US intelligence community. Nothing in that transcript screams ATTACK IS IMMINENT! Personally, I see "Threat located, search and destroy initiated, prepare for after action report". After all, the FBI already said it had around 70 investigations on these guys, and all those claims were at least 2 years old.

Furthermore, Al-Qaeda had backup guys, if I remember correctly. They were caught somewhere in Florida after the attacks. If we had gotten the first bunch, do you think they wouldn't have tried to still make it work? Look at the embassy bombings mentioned; they lost members of the bombing teams and they still pulled it off (even if it didn't go completely according to their plan). If we had twarted them, we'd have 5/23 or a 8/2 instead of a 9/11, as they would have tried again and again.

Finally, I think the point you all are trying to make is that one man can change the entire scope of a government, and therefore it's that man's fault for all that is wrong in the world. And that is the reason that I still stay by the president. I know he has flaws, and I don't agree with everything he does or how he does it. But it's naive to thing that one man can change the entire political structure of a country. The President has a lot of influence, I'll concede. His ability to influence the media with conferences gives him an advantage over Congress in some ways. The thing is though, he needs a lot of support to get everything he wants done, which means getting congressional support, which means those legislators' consituencies must make it clear they support the president's actions and that their representative/senator should also. It comes back to the people. And even if you want to play the "the people are sheep" card (easy to play, many Americans don't take the time to stay politically aware, but that's an opportunity cost analysis I won't go into), the President still needs a large buearacracy (sp ) to do the job, collect the information, advise him, and play a role in the decision making. One man does not make a government, no matter how conviently he places himself to blame. I suppose next your going to tell me the president of Iran actually has more than a token power to wield and the country isn't mainly ruled by a religious council?
