In a game like this almost anything is acceptable when it comes to war :-D

Cheating etc has nothing to do with war it is unacceptable in any situation.....

Well, the advantage gained from cheating is an advantage which can be applied to a war situation, so I suppose it's kind of relevant.

Barbs is right, though, the bigger a war is, and the longer it does on for; the more 'taboos' are shed. Officers, for example, will probably all be massed soon.

There seams to be alot of different opinions on this.

Recent one that i can think of is targeting officers but some say planets(lol). Then one i personally dont like is spies.

Anyone? :)

Nothing is dishonourable in war in my opinion, well in a war game anyway, as long as you can keep in-game relations in-game. Well everything other than personal insults.

In referance to the big war, I would have though officer massing would have taken longer, none the less its a valid tactic as it effects UP.

i think the only thing really dishonorable (to yourself) in war is talking about what is fair and what shouldn't be done in that war!
war has no rules ever its just what it takes to win!
any means nessesary!!!

Vultures is a funny one ...
If you were fighting someone and I started to jump in and kick you while you were in combat ... wouldn't you note make a note of me and seek revenge once your fight was over ?

thats why he said if the person hit those in war first it would be fine. he has a problem with those in war hitting others and when the others hit back they are massed for a while because they are "vultures"

As far as I know, very few if any get away with hitting Omega, our empire and our allies in DDE. Hitting FUALL in or outside of war usually results in a mass or return hit(s).

The reason why lists are created are so players can have fun once our enemies surrender.

so what about if your alliance isnt in a war but someone who is in a war is constantley farming ur alliance?
can i hit back without being classed as a vulture??

Vulture is just a word a name ...
Do what you wish as its YOUR GAME not their game nor mine. YOURS, play it your own way.

As for being worried about being classed as a vulture, lets just say that by hitting the Omega Empire, you will be hit back at some point regardless of war.

Having a name like Vulture or Leech etc is far less worse than what will be coming your way in-game when we catch up to you

As for hitting someone "back" - well again its your game do what you wish. However I only check my "attacked by" when looking for action, I think the same applies to many others.

My personal opinion is I'd rather some random hit me when I'm down than my enemy. This opinion does not reflect that of anyone else inside OE.
But that will not stop me visiting you once the war is win and Im bored... haha

I think it is dishonorable for people in war to farm other people outside of the war and then when they get farmed back, the scream vulture!

If you farm then don't complain when you get farmed!

Hmmmm...sounds like pretty much EVERY war ever fought in history, lol

And this , as all wars , will be won by the side that planned and executed it's plan best.

And do not forget one truth , like it or not...no war is won by the side that did not do what was necessary.

Aside from cheating ..I see nothing as out of bounds.

I used to say officers were, but now I kinda see where people are comming from if you mass them. Plus if you massed mine I massed your whole alliances

I say nothing is dishonorable. Do what it takes to win.
