What is strange is for people to play a game where money buys you advantages, and then whine when those who use that advantage, actually get an advantage?? Where does it say in the rules that those who use $$ to upgrade are somehow less noble than those who don't? Get over it, if you don't believe in the advantage of bought upgrades, no matter where the money comes from (I personally have kinky sex with my wife who gives me money tips and thats what I buy upgrades with... ) then find another game to play.

Selling main resources for $$ then using those $$ to by USS here....isn't that stretching the rules of cross server trading?

you couldn't afford the resources here without trading main stuff

example...

I sell 5mill main uu for xxx bil quantum naq direct.....this is classed as cross server trading

I sell 5mil uu for $$ then use those $$ to buy Q resources...and this is not?

by definition any advantage gained here by a cost to you on the main server would be cross server trading

hate to go agaisnt a buddy in my own alliance but renegadze it says so once he sells his resources and has it as cash. No one can stop where he puts that cash. yes it is kinda a way around the cross server trade but its his own cash by him selling. he can do anything he wants with his own money

Cross server deals were okayed for SS buying anyways..

But yes im selling the NAQ for cash... it's my choice where I want to reinvest it.

They have to be "ok" anyways. Easy example could be someone has $200 in thier paypal account from lets say ebay. Then they sell $50 worth of main resources. The next day they buy Q SS. Who is to say the used the $50 from selling main resources or $50 of the ebay money? It can't be proved so it can't be forbidden.

the point is it's still cross server trading, yes he is fully within his rights to invest the cash he makes anywhere...but i think he'll probably admit he only seems to keep his main account going to fund Q (and maybe chaos...dunno not played up there for a while)

If admin is going to allow technicalities to get around breaking a rule he put in place...then maybe it's time he just took the rule away.

Yes you then start to get into the area of "feeder" accounts, but I'm not sure you'll ever solve that issue. Some people in the game are clearly using this. (One alliance doesn't even seem to try and hide it ) week after week most of them go on ppt, billions save up over the course of the time spent on ppt, and somehow their account never seem to improve in either UP, Spy Level, MS.

Note: Before Borek starts jumping up and down....i do accept some people might just be pushing loads into techs for an end of wave mass fest, but i would think those people would be in a minority.

Actually no, I dont keep my main account only to fund Quantum, I keep it because I play it still just ask a fellow alliance member how active I've been this war and how much I participate in massing...

This is the first wave my main account has EVER funded Quantum...

Also I cant seem to find the topic that stated there was no cross server deals from Quantum anymore... but Admin did okay selling NAQ for $ and redristributing the cash back into Quantum.
