As far as I know Blackseal was the only player to reach the 14th ascension.
You missed one.
BlackSeal cheated to reach number 15, so while his account did get there, admin removed most of the Ancient God ascensions.

The UP requirement after AG hurts badly. By the time you reach the UP requirement, you will feel its so 'wasteful' to ascend and lose them. I will consider ascending again if the bonus is much higher than just a mere 1%.

Not necessarily, depends who you are. To get 100k raw UP it costs 8.3t naq, which for me is 1 1/2 weeks of income. Considering there is a two week limit to ascending it isn't that bad. But as I said, depends who you are.

True, but the UP req affects the super/uu req too. While all these may not pose a big dent, somehow the 1% may not feel worth it although the bragging right is cool. I would love to see some healthy race between several players towards the 20th ascension.
