It is.

As for scamming.. sure, the scammer is at fault for deliberately misleading his contact/victim. Depending on the scale and depth of the scam though, it is entirely the victim's fault for being fooled. If the scam is very deep and uses lies to cover the holes in it, it is the scammers fault, and they should be found and made to pay (like mine).
This scam is so blatantly obvious, there's nothing done to prevent the 'victim' from knowing that MFC is LK's alliance mate. Had MFC dropped his tag at the time, it would have been different.. but now? Completely the victim's (or should I say "unattentive person's") fault. One look, one glance and he'd have known something was amiss.
That said, and I quote Wolf here:

Don't get me wrong, I'm 100% against scamming, however, one could suggest it is a form of strategy. Kind of like extortion, with the whole, give me 1mil UU or Ill farm your alliance for a whole month. A player can use their wit and cunning to convince another more gullible player that they will receive their promised resources or services, then after payment is made.. well yeah, Morally its wrong, but hey, is it really that different to massing randoms for the lulz.

Once again, I am against scammers, and this is just a point of view that one could express, and is not mine.

I would just get someone else to mass MFC and LK. In life, when one gets scammed, someone gets sued. In SGW, when someone gets wronged or bored, someone gets massed.

Now, morally, yes scamming someone is wrong. Real or imaginary transactions, I would like to have always been known to conduct fair business, karma and such.

Should Admin make a rule against it? No. Although it is a rather low thing to do (even in the guise of helping friends), it is not Admin's job to make rules that teach us morals, that was our parent's job. Admin are the referees, they make rules that protect their game and those who play. Being scammed just makes you more aware (hopefully) to the bad around you.

Well said. Not that I would ever use it as a tactic myself. It really doesn't need to be brought up so much. If you have an issue about what someone did just mass them, no need to say there cheating when no rule is in place against it.

Scamming is not acceptable. But people say scamming sometimes while it's not real scamming.

How many threads have we had about scamming in the last few months? Way to many to count - each time we come to the same conclusion its wrong to do it, yet people just keep posting more threads that they have been scammed.

Yes its sad to see it happen to other players, but there is nothing that can be done. Just accept the fact that things like this unfortunately happen in this game and move on.

You obviously dont have a problem with spamming going on as has been quite a bit of it in this thread, along with most of the others on these forums. But hey I dont expect anything to be done about that.
