If this turns into a Nimras ( mod) bashing thread im going to have to nuke you all
However I agree that some of the threads moved to the Temple shouldn't be there. On the same note those threads are not necessarily garbage either if you ask the folks who made them and post in them. Might not be a bad idea for those threads to have there own place to live , like a Galactic Dump or Galactic Debris for a certain amt of time before getting put in the garbage.

That's why there is a Public Dump to begin with.
As opposed to being moved into the Dump out of sight.. threads get 2 weeks to live in the PD. That was the original plan, anyway.

Nimras has done a great job.
This is one point where he could do better, and well.. Psi and I can see it in the mod logs. Can you?
Exactly. Nim is a great mod when it comes to being neutral in serious threads and handles such things really well. He just doesn't understand the Temple. I am quite happy with knowing Nim is the General mod, it's a great fit for him. But this is the one point that he could use some help on, and I'm pretty sure there was a discussion about this in private, but he takes a very narrow look at spam. Really, if he stopped dropping hateful threads in the Temple, I'm not sure I could find a flaw in his modding.

Nim, the public dump was made for a reason, please use it. the most common threads sent to the spam area arent anything that will do any good there.

The public dump is currently under discussion (as I for one find it completely useless). No I don't think the topics that are in it belong in the Spam Temple as they are not Spam either, but rather something completely different. Thanks for your patience.

Untill you can read minds over internet coding, I would advise that you don't try to tell people what threads are about if they are made by other people and not yourself. You can assume that it is just to moan about you however unless you can provide some proof that psi the wonderful wizard of SGW has something against you, keep it to yourself.

i could go on but i am tiered....
could there be a section made under general lets call it "garbage compactor" where general filth goes and threads get deleted after a certian number of days. then we could eleminate the public dump....

That's what the dump is...there is no need for it...everything has it's place...sometimes that place is called the land of delete or the hidden dump.

Actually it was talked amongst the mods i said why i moved it Jack said why it didnt belong. Then i saw this as out of the world as i arent a spammer i happely say i moved it there as i know others would because we arent spammers.
When jack said he didnt want it there i never said i didnt listen sadly PSI saw it as his job to petition this. But anyway your petition wont help on me for that very reason we have talks about this already in the mod forum and make clear lines. I will try and be more watchfull offcourse as my intention never was to give you things you never wanted but as i arent a spammer and i didnt saw it fit for the public dump and i was asked to keep it i thought spam temple as my second choice as The Dump was my first.
But i am happy to listen to you guys when you have issues or if you feel something was moved wrongly by me as what i see as spam and hence spam temple arent always what you see as spam.
But for this petition i cant really use it to much beside what i already know you dont want everything someone like me considor spam down there which is fine. Well if you know i have moved a topic down there you could contact me and tell me why you dont feel it belong there and i will take it in make a notice and bring it up with the Misc leader and mods and clear it up before it either are moved or stays.
I am willing to learn from you guys but to do so you need to give a hint or 2 when it comes to topics i moved down there in the belief because i arent a spammer down there its your type of spam. As i have no intention of making you annoyed or angry but just trying to keep the topics in the right place in this forum.

Nimras, this petition is not because you did a bad job. it's to prove to you that MOST spammers DO care about what gets moved there. and also that most spammers CAN post in a thread without spamming it.
both things you assumed otherwise.
because you know what happens when you assume
the other purpose of this petition is to let the other mods who don't know about the spam temple, and it's community member's desires to know that we don't want that kind of thing.

Solution is simple.
Don't allow ANYONE to move threads directly to the Temple, except from This and That and the rest of the Misc Section. Make a Temple Waiting Hall or something. xD

but could be fun i would gladly test that waiting area with tons of topics what about 1million topics

But no the solution of talking and getting some clear lines is the way ahead.
