Your example contain a major flaw, TJP didnt attack FUALL then demand tributes, FUALL attacked US. Which put's our tributes in a whole different light. Such as (and heres a rather exteme example) I wouldn't mug someone, but if they were to damage my property then just try to walk away, id be putting their face into the floor and checking how much money they have so i can fix what they broke.

TJP hit FUALL many times before this war
Some of the TJP member droped tags only in main and NOT ascended
while they were hitting us and some not droping tags at all

Ok explain to me one thing considering:

-there is a well known habbit of certain alliances to have people drop tags and play support class to a varying degree (funding, intels etc.)
-there is a practice of numerous and prolific "members" (you can set your war clock to) to leave alliances for "lone wolf status" or "dune" type alliances only to eventually return after conflict.
-the "ancient inaccurete" list dates to 3 weeks before the war to cover most of the above stated cases. It is easy to get off provided you have good arguments and the main "shocking mistakes" seem to be people selling their account or deleting. First gets sorted out with 0 tributes and an appology from our side for the hassle and the second is consequential how again?

Would a genious please please explain to me how is this a "fair" deal.

FUALL give up a term they, lets be honest, dont have a very good chance of ever having a shot of enforcing, the way things are going. And we give up all our mechanisms we have in place to counter the tactics employed by the adversaries.
What in the world is my incentive to even ponder voting for this if it ever comes to a Senate vote heh? There is none, since I don`t enjoy being fingered in the Janus.


And since this was dubbed the "end game" I am at a loss exiting the conflict has become such a big deal. We should close the borders or make only imigration and not emigration possible. Unless you had a change of heart in regards to the big scary rhetorics? We havent heh... Voted option 3. Ditch both sets of tributes. Noone gets out. Simple and effective.

Alliances are free to demand what they want (should've been an option in the poll really - hence I haven't voted)- it's up to the individuals concerned to decide whether they can accept the terms or not, whether they are fair or not depedning on their circumstances, taking into account how much they want out of the war. In some cases it may persuade people that it is better to stay and fight.

Some of it might have got out of hand - but sometimes that might be a purposeful decision...

Thats the whole point of being in an alliance, to be there to fight next to 1 another and have each others back, if you leave because you dont want to be in the war then you shouldnt be allowed back in the said alliance.

The problem here is: that while some of the folks that were on fuall list may be innocent and have left for XYZ reasons, cause of fuall making the first strike we know for sure that at least some ppl have left for tactical reasons (not to be involved in the conflict) so its the problem of punishing no one or all of them for couple of good guys or couple of bad guys...


Its debateable, perhaps we could treat them seperately and just request surrender from them...


As for the TLE part I am mostly leaving it up to the purple one...
The history is the biggest pain in the backside here...cause every time I was nice there were ppl using it against me...

The alliances involved here are only letting on part stories here, only the alliances know all the history behind this and the full story to how it started so they are really the only people that can decide if a tribute/disbandenmant are necessary.

It is surprising how often real life 'gets in the way' with some people when wars occur. Not saying they're all lying - but you have to wonder sometimes. And if real life truly gets in the way - do as suggested - Vacation Mode, that's what it's for and proves to the opposition that you're not leaving so as just not to be hit, and are secretly siphoning off resources to you r alliance.

Akaroth is exactly right - and this is the reason why tributes have become more popular - in past wars some players have simply 'left' (I use that word with scepticism) their alliance to avoid conflict and then 'rejoined' again afterwards. Well what's the point of being in the alliance if you are not willing to stand with your mates in war?

However - with my modding hat on (and giving myself a slap at the same time) - can we keep this topic on track and discuss Pianomutt's proposals - we can discuss the rights and wrongs, and moral issues of tributes/reparations in general, in Avenger's tribute topic.

Simple , why pay anything , just keep the war going till some side deletes there alliance .

And if you cant handle the war , go vac mode , if not , be prepaired to get farmed by your former alliance.
