Voting Joker on this...because who else has the power to come THAT close to bringing out the villian in his nemesis?
Also, for the record, there was a poll done some time ago (I'm too lazy to look it up) world wide...and Vader came out as the most recognizable symbol of evil...on earth...
As I recall Shiva came second, and Satan third...
One more thing...what about Xanatos of the Gargoyles cartoon? As I recall he is, in fact, cosidered the definition of a
"magnificent bastard" (under western animation on the page linked)

I choosed Vader, Joker, & Anubis.
But if they were all there: Davros #3, Vader #2, and the #1 villain:

hes is seriously evil, scary, and has abilities. not big flash showy abilities, but subtle and effective ones. randall flag is hardcore

Completely agree. Flagg is pretty scary.
Heck, most of Stephen King's villians are pretty creepy.

Dude, Dracula kicks asses throughout history because he began out immortal. Plus he reincarnates if you go with the Castlevaina Dracula's.
How could such an undead monster not be #1?
Oh and I choose Sauron and Anubis for roughly the same reasons, but Sauran's boss Morgoth was so evil that he was locked beyond the walls of creation only to return to destroy all things, that takes the cake.
