Most of the words I can't stand are incorrect ones that have passed into regular usage (like "addicting" ) or incorrect words used to make people sound smarter (like "irregardless". Holy crap I hate that word. And now Firefox spellcheck doesn't even recognise as incorrect).

What library do you use? My FF spellcheck underlines it red. I use the British English library, version 1.19.

Something else that is just frustrating is:
"I will think about it".

Generally that means:

"No, but I'm too sorry for you or afraid of you to tell you the truth, so I'll just make you wait a bit longer..."

Jack, do you mean that it is acceptable or not? The dictionary seems to agree that people use it, but it states quite clearly that it is not really acceptable.
