"Play Mordack!"
lol
I can't emphasis how much I appreciate that film, though. There are few films in existence which speak so many volumes about the human condition and how unfair it can be sometimes. This is THE film for anybody whose ever felt overshadowed, underappreciated or general second best.
"7 years in Tibet" is another such film, It shows how the Tibetans are a very king and generous, peace loving country. It's virtually impossible to believe that this even exists but once you've seen the film you appreciate how they live in perfect harmony without complications. They were an extremely happy, peace loving nation, until the chinese invaded, destroyed thousands of Buddhist temples and have killed over 1 mill Tibetans to date. Bunch of Communists murderers.
On a further note, I may be going to Malawi soon, i might experience and begin to appreciate myself.
oops, I think i rambled a bit there.

Similarly, I believe that people in general are inherently flawed. Deep down, we are programmed to hurt one another; either physically or emotionally. People are naturally selfish and greedy; governed more by bestial urges than common sense or ethics. Society is a terrible thing, too. The more supposedly civilized we become, the more immorality and decadence become the main staple of our daily diet.
Before Lost concluded, my main flippant excuse for not killing myself was that I wanted to know how it ended. I will get back to you with a new one when I find it.

When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won.
There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall.
Think of it--always Mahatma Gandhi

I like Star Wars - but I've never understood the almost obsessive fascination people have with it.
My favourite films (Top 10) would be (in no particular order):
- Scent of A Woman - Lord of the Rings Trilogy - Unforgiven - Ronin - Gladiator - Shawshank Redemption - Godfather - Great Escape - The Bone Collector - Raiders of the Lost Ark

Ace Ventura was epic.
My list - Scarface A Beautiful Mind Shawshank Redemption Snatch Die Hard (All of them) American History X Resident Evil Films Revolver Lucky Number Slevin Black Hawk Down Goodfellas Hard Boiled Most Jet Li films
* Greenmile * Great Escape * Saving Private Ryan * Pirates of the Caribean 1, 2 & 3 * Naked Gun * Longest day * the Good the Bad and the Ugly * Nutty Professor 1 & 2 * Shawshank Redemption * Jackie chan movies
I think it boils down to three movies, Reallyyyy....
Goodfellas : This has it all, The Cast, The Dialogue, Touching Scenes, Brutal Scenes, shock, Awe, Humour. Quite simply a geneuinly once in a lifetime movie, People talk about the godfather, Or how Casino is a bit like it, But in its very bare bones, Goodfellas for me, Has and always will be the greatest gangster film ever. Scarface who?
Platoon : Charlie Sheen you say?!!? Ok, So ignore the fact you want to punch him in the face for a minute....Probally the greatest war film ever made, Definatly the best vietnam war film for sure. Storyline, Screenplay, And you all know the musical scores, is epic in its very nature. Its one of those films you cant help but be moved by, and if you arnt, Then your dead, or a zombie.
Shawshank Redemption : I dont think there is a human being alive, who doesnt believe this film should be in the top 3, AT LEAST, Of films. The Storyline is stunning, the dialogue, The Ideals it brings to you, The despair, the hope, the freedom, More Importantly, Robbins and Freeman, What a pair of actors.
