naq hunting always will have potential for retaliation, some will be pleasent and send you a message, some mini-mass, others will full on mass, some will extort you, ect., everyone has theirr own playing style, I would suggest you adapt to what the game is like, being massed will happen frquently their are those that even mass if you have to much trained. Just have fun, dont care so much about your account, attack as much as possible (you can make more from attacking then you can from production). Make some new friends, and treat people with respect we are all after all humans. The nature of the game is attacking both incomming and outgoing.

Continued with messages like that. Swore at Xeen, Liquid (who was the other person who just wanted to do a bit of roleplaying because he noticed he read books), and don't know about Yoyo.

Oh well~, not my problem. I tried to be reasonable with him and he continued to cuss at me, tell me I 'gang-banged' him, so I gave up.

at any rate, no matter how ugly it is, it is a war game, and any tactic is valid. look in history, Travis, and you will see the same sort of bully tactics working. The best thing you can do right now is to join a quiet alliance. There will always be someone in an alliance who will be up to speed in what happens in the political arena that is known as the forums.

like everyone is saying its a war game if u cant take the heat then dont play ive been playing for over 3 years and been massed more times i can count and i have changed each time to a different way of play but we all were noobs at one point and have gone through the same massings at some time for some reasons got to perg or something but it will stop at some time but have fun mass them back if u can lmao but thats suicide but fun but stop crying like a baby cuz of a few massings cuz i have been in your shoes before and now i look before i doing alot

Might I suggest logging offline, and go play sims online. It sounds like this game is to much, I have been massed after massed after massed. I did not complain once. I sucked it up rebuilt and kept fighting. Of course I've gave up a few wars, thrown in the towel. But you know you lose you lose. But I did not go wine like a baby. Welcome to SGW stands for StargateWars the key word being wars!

travis, i plan on looking over our forum and finding the incident your talking about, cause true fully, it kinda rings a bell, but not really.

we are who we are. We play as we play. We make no bones about massing or being massed.

once i did as u do. It was boring as hell. Might as well have a calculator and punch numbers into it every day, cause that all u are really doing. Feel free in the future to mass back, farm back, play the game with real live people, not inactive accounts. It will not make u evil, cause the villagers to storm your house, your love ones to leave u. It might make u new friends , cause when all is said and done, how players interact in war, is , for me, what this game is about.

Ive been watching this thread with some interest, and its no surprise to me that Forgotten Serenity are doing this kind of thing yet again.... But then something DID happen to surprise me... Papa Smurf's post just now... Possibly the most sensible thing I've seen from an FS member, and theres a lot of truth to it.

I will say this though.... New players dont have a lot of options when they start this game. If they dont have someone to help them, what can they do but farm inactive accounts. This thread, and even your post Papa Smurf, shows what happens to new players who 'interact' with active accounts.

You're right... it is boring as hell to farm and raid inactive players, but can a new player really interact with active players when they have an army of only 100 units?

Maybe he made a mistake by attacking certain accounts, but do you think he would have done it if he had known what would happen?

I think the point is... even though he attacked someone stronger, or someone with friends, or someone in an alliance.. is it really right to just completely trash them for what could easily be just a bad decision by a new player? Why not a message first?

When I allegedly vultured FS, I recieved a message from Mezzanine containing threats and demands. At least I was given a chance to talk or make reparations, even though they were ridiculous. I chose to be disrespectful and make threats, demands and challenges of my own. This is because I dislike FS and dislike their style of play, but at least I had some options, and have played long enough to have a fair idea of how to handle my account. Not everybody knows that by clicking the wrong person they could potentially lose weeks worth of work because their army is set up with the potential for massive casualties. Not everybody knows that some alliances will destroy you without ever saying a word just for a single attack on their members.

When people hit me, I generally dont care. If they do it too often, I warn them. ESPECIALLY if it is a relatively small account, or an unascended account. If they push their luck I'll give them a few hits.... I've never had to make myself more clear than that.

I save 'massings' for wars with good reasons, people I dont like, and in rare circumstances for resources that make the massing worthwhile, or profitable.

True, this is a war game, but the way some people react to such little things like a handful of attacks for a few billion naq speaks volumes about the kind of person you are.

and when all is said and done, i would bet my account that Mezz and most of FS will go away with some level of respect given to u. Why, cause u choose to play as u choose to play. U don't wimp out. And in the end, u become who u say u dislike, by doing the same (make threats, demands and challenges). Do we say boohoo. No we except your game play, in fact respect it. Ya, some of our members make threats, ask for resources, mass for one hit. And some times, along the way, the people we interact with, start playing this game, and stop just putting numbers into boxes. A lot gets said about this game becoming boring and is "dead". It only as alive as u and your interactions make it. One thing i know for sure, I would rather be know for being in FS, then never know by keeping a low profile.

if you hit alliances full of members more powerful than yourself you should expect to get massed. you should be aware of the major wars going on so you can avoid hits which can be seen as vulturing.

and the way you claim to treat everyone with respect is funny considering your message to me:

the game filter was also needed. i do not believe i resorted to offensive language in my message. and its also quite homourous how you try to mock me for not seeing your planet names, when you clearly either didnt see or ignored mayhems.

btw my message was only sent due to the fact i saw you were a feist fan. it was intended as a little midkemian roleplay (which ive had with several others during wars)

in short, stop whineing, rebuild, continue playing the way you see fit to play.

Being the diplomat for FS I am contacted constantly about instances like this. I was not contacted by you Travis and had you contacted me Im sure I would have been happy to help you work through this. Now had you spoken to me with the same language you used when adressing others I would have massed you myself.

Seems there are a number of lessons for you to learn here 1 being language and respect 2 being how to farm without being massed. 3 using proper channels.


I would like your ID as I continue to look into to this because as I said this is news to me You should always contact the diplomat first thats why we are here and are usually appointed to this this position because we have the desire and ability to solve these kinds of issues.

I cant be arsed reading all that but I MASSED HIM ( Drathos ingame ) a few days ago because my officer asked me to, no other reason, I made no demands and I sent no PMs before massing

Apparently Drathos made 38 attacks on my officers, officer and refused to pay back the losses of 30 Bill
