Operation was semi successful. He is alive and can talk as such. But he does not know anything that happened within the last 3 years. Because he was on life support it has Semi Altered his memory. He does not know any of you. He also doesn't know his best friend is dead or his younger brothers are dead. He doesn't even know me. His parents have not told him anything yet as the doctors are not sure about whether he will slowly regain his memory.

He'll remember eventually. It may take some time but I'm a firm believer that memory does not get erased. It is there, it simply needs to be 'found' (or, as is my understanding of the brain, which works by association...) there needs to be a trigger which will help associate other memories together and bring them back.

I wish him the speediest of recoveries, and my thoughts are with his loved ones.

It is absolutely awsome that his alive, even though he might not remember 3 years, his got a whole lot of living to do ahead of him now

its normal for memory loss after traumatic events (i think). But hes strong, he will recover and be back in business in no time

This is the latest update on DR off of our forum

He is being discharged in 2 days and being sent home. His doctors say it will take time for his memory to come back and we just need to find them. A doctor will be checking on his progress every day for the first week he is back home. When he comes back he will either know you or not. Please re-teach him how to play this game and show his what he was like. It wil take time and he may be back online in a week or in 3 months. We do not know. thankyou

I hope he'll regain his memmory in no time, but thank god he's alive. Memories can be brought back or new ones can be made. Lifes cannot.

Showing him all his old posts may help or trigger a memory.

I wish him well, he survived a 13% chance, seems he is here for a reason. I hope he finds it.
