Or not. Just wait an hour and away you go!

Culling perhaps should negate/increase rank modifier bonuses?

Great idea though vosk!

But that would cause even more hassle, when adding a whole new race is quite a large enough task as is. Sleipnir is very right. The simple answer would be that the Wraith steal more Naquadah than other races on a successful attack, but not more than the attacked account possesses.

That would stop the devious tactic Sleip described. It would also encourage the Wraith to attack large (well populated) targets, rather than farming smaller accounts.

This sounds interesting - care to explain a little more?

Well as it is, the further down from your rank you attack, the less % naq you steal and the less damage you do, and the higher up from your rank, the more you steal and the more you damage them:

Considering the distance to travel, the enthusiasm of the troops for this battle, and the degree to which they were comfortable in their victory,
they were able to spend about 65 percent of the time normally taken in collecting the spoils of war.
Taking this, and what was available at the time in the realm of ****, it is recorded that
a total of 12,459,429 Naquadah was taken from the realm of ****

Now for a wraith, the % (In pink) would go up faster and go down slower...and more units would be killed on any attack.

or, you could, like have increase naq recovered based on the number of defending units. so more defending units, more naq.

Nichael Kaeken wrote:what there really should be is 4 alter races. (wraith included) (not counting ascended shell)for each of the 4 main ones, and someone of one of the 4 main races could change race 1time without losing anything so long as they change to their corresponding alter race

example:

for goauld: wraith
for humans: Ancient-gene humans
for replicators... hmm, tough one... ah: Ree-Tuu
for asgard: atlanteans(ancients on atlantis)

i have to point this out you have two acient related races on this post as alter races. And also if any alter-race ahould be atlantian it should be human and by the way humans really do have the acient-type gene except maybe the humans in pegasus and mentioning that how the hell did they get there.

Tauri should turn into Acients

I have no idea about asgard, maybe nox or furlings but the best idea would be to make asgard the shell account and make up a race to go before. And as for the tollan they are effictively tauri except they buried there stargate before earth and didnt go through the equivilent version of the middle ages, and thus they shouldn't be a shell account but a normal race and once again ascend into acients.

This is a much better idea than my basic multiplication bonus. Cannot make things much fairer on the players than including rank modifiers. What sort of percentage alteration would you suggest?

i like it

although if the wraith where included then you kind of need the ancients included aswell you no just to round it off then this game would never get boring but in the state it is in currently i can see it getting boring very quickly

you wouldnt need the acients just make the tollan a seperate race have tauri ascend into atlantians (human controlled atlantis)

Then you'd have two more normal races and you'd have to make 2 ascended races for these guys to turn into

Just a thorght but maybe the Wraith's unique weapons could be their regenerative process, so they lose less men that are killed in a battle.

The basics of the game are:
strike
defense
covert
naquadah
units

The first four each have a corresponding race. The last one does not, and so could conceivably be used for the basis of a fifth race. (someone said something about wraiths and regenerative capabilities so it could fit) You could make a fifth race that had some bonus to the number of units they receive. Any other race bonus would be a mere copy of something we already have.
To answer your questions, yes I can certainly see the problem this would ignite if we had a race with unit bonuses. Namely, a mass migration from the other races to the new one.

That's pretty much what I thought, hence my idea of "Powerful Warriors". A Unit Production bonus is idea-suicide, so what else can we do with units? Make them a little more powerful of course!

Oh, can someone suggest a race with extremely powerful motherships? Just for the heck of it :-D

As you wish...

I formally hijack this thread to introduce to you my fictional Stargate race, the Voogash. They should have a super-powerful mothership at a lower cost for it and the weapons!

(Hey, you asked for it.)
