Command Stars!

Right now Command Star defense does nothing (at least it didn't the last time I was attacked). The last few attacks against me, my command star defense has been greater than the attacking command star attack but the attacker has nonetheless received a full infusion from their command star.

Actually a question about command star defense. In theory if my command star defense is greater than the attacker command star strike, should I get an infusion bonus to my defense in the actual attack? Or is that only the case for the attacker in the case that their command star attack is greater than the defending command star?

You get the infusion if your command star attack level is greater than their defense, and stop them getting an infusion if your defense is greater than their attack, regardless of whether you are attacking or defending.

yep it does make sense and it's not working. I have better defense and they still get an infusion.

...funny you should feel something is not right with it, i mentioned a problem with it sometime ago but due to the wording in the attack log i was bamboozled by literature. I'm still not convinced it works properly especially after reading your observations. Maybe you will have better luck than I did at reading between the lines of the immensely fantastical script of the battle log!

I would like to see Descention. My thoughts:

Once you have been beaten physically (yur last 500 Life Force gone) You are sent back to your shell account with a loss of ALL titles and bonuses. Your account is then given a "new race" called "Fallen" so you would be "Fallen of The Ori" or w/e. It would be basically the same as a non ascended account apart from that your dead ascended account still remains in the ascended server (unaccessible) until you have collected enough "favour" (could be just g n r points to simplify) to re-ascend into your old ascended account to begin charging it up again.

I would like to think that descension is a MASSIVE blow to a player however i would aslo like some recompense for my time spent here at The Gate Wars so perhaps the levels you acquired in your ascended realm do not get reset, so that once you gain enough "favour" with the ascended to re-join the battle, your account only needs rebuilding, NOT re-levelning.

I especially like the idea of seeing accounts with a red "Fallen of The Indu" underneath them (not that there will be many fallen of the indu because we roxor your boxors)

What does everyone else think?

Here is what seems to be the key part of the attack log:

AttackStar uses its Black Hole String to inflict 1000000 damage, destroying 0 Enegry Vortex on DefenseStar!
Being's AttackStar infuses 1000000 additional attack power to the fleets that follow!

I've changed the names and numbers but for reference, my DefenseStar had a relative strength of 1.6 million to the 1 million attack but it states the attack star still gave a 100% infusion.

I like the descension idea. Sort of like the ascended account is put in vacation mode until the player can reascend.

Actaully somethiing else comes to mind. Before I suggested about those lil pics. And everyone seemed to be quite fond of the idea.

I would like to see descension become available just like everyone else but honestly, I don't think that we should be descending until everyone that has worked to get up there has had the chance to use everything that they ahve been waiting to use, like the Cosmic Trade and such.

Because an entire month was wasted on scammers, cheats, thieves and scoundrels. Basically administration had a back log of "investigating" and "policing" to do thanks to the scum of The Gate Wars who think it nice to take some innocent fool's resources away from them. That's why it is taking so long.

BTW.. this isn't just some "publicity statement" it's the gospel truth if you don't believe me, just watch me get into to trouble for opening up and saying it. It is ALL thanks to cheats and scammers.

ok - updates to a few things put into production (in game updates).
checking on that command star issue now (it is a bug obviously).
more updates coming...
apologies for the delays -- a bunch of stuff got in the way -- scammers, hackers, server failure on a non-sgw site i had to deal with, and a bunch of personal stuff.... although the above post is right - about 80% of the time went into account hackers....a good reason to have a good password!
i will be working right through the holidays though --- we're always moving forward and producing new stuff...sometimes the speed varies though!
