tekki is very correct when the speech is either defamatory or negetively effects ones reputation it can be brought to the courts as a lawsuit, however this is very true in mnay nations and in the US it is unlikely a judge would hear the case unless the person could show a monitary reduction because of the infamatory statements.

As of the original post, as long as the rules of the forum have been abided by and I mean the ones you agree to when you sign up then he would have no case. However banning someone from a forum is always a dangerous thing, but unless they could prove you did so based on religion race gender or something along these lines they would likely have no case. The one other hing that could make this type of thing an actual case would be if they could show partiality, ie someone else who did the same thing was treated differently.

In the end though ,most of this is just silly
