Theoretically reaching the speed of light is irrelevant.Once you reach it you will find better means of traveling.Its not impossible just unnecessary.

yes.
but by better teleportation come to my mind (hopefully not Yours) because it has a major flaw with what will happen with gravity because things do move faster than light things like gravity so if a mass disapears from somewhere to reapear somewhere else it puts a large strain on the gravity of those spaces and the result while unknown is potentialy very dangerous to the very fabric of the universe
although this may just be the ramblings of a physics student with too much time on his hands

Mass strain and collocation can be dealt with,the problem is the re atomization and cellular mapping.

reatomization? your getting a little ahead of the problem right now we would be lucky to get a proton or electron back let alone an atom or a cell especially the one we wanted
but back on topic as for traveling the cosmos in a matter of days or similar wormhole travel while completly founded in fiction for the moment is probabley theoreticly the best bet because in theroy it allows you to travel to any point in increadibly short time although as with everything if it does ever become possible some limiting factor/s will be found that make it less than perfect

I agree.But i also think warmhole travel is more likely then beaming tech.

no argument here but unfortunatley i doubt either will ever happen and even if they do i doubt it will be in our lifetime

drifted a little there sorry back to the point
so assuming that life the univese and everything has a point why is space so big
well if the universe was created for us or with us or another senteint life in mind at the time then somethings like
navagation which without the stars would be much harder
simply looking good they liked the twinkle
or maybe to stop the sentiet life from metting or at least us from meeting them after all we spend stupid amounts of our intellegence and creativity finding ways to do harm why risk us with a peace full species the best we could do is cuorupt them
