Inactive accounts?

I am having this problem with myself I cannot join an alliance or get a commander or have people send me stuff.
I can use my SS for other people though.
I was away for 3months and am back now and active but this is stopping me. My ingame name is utopia.

Being away for so long may have meant ur account has been classified as inactive so although u can send things to active accounts they cant send anyting to yours - however this is just an idea it could be completely wrong , a mod may b able to tell you more

I have the same problem with a friend of mine, i want him as an officer, but it doesnt say "Make this user my commander" or when i try to send him some naq or u.u it says.. cant send to an inactive account or something.. but he isnt inactive.

We do log on the same ip when we're at work together though... Has this anything to do with it, and does the ip.. change so i can have him as an officer and send him stuff when we're at home and not on the same ip?

I guess it sounds like i got two accounts.. but he's my co-worker.
So, my friend does use his account, so it shouldnt be inactive..by far. And as i explained, we both log on at work when we are there, so it might be this. But when he's at his place and im at my place, shouldnt the ip's be okay? Or is it stored when 2 users use the same ip so you cant send naq,turns or u.us EVEN when we're not onthe same ip at our homes.
