And that some how makes it less stupid? Also who's to say that kids aren't smart enough to get away with it today?

most of the ones that get caught are because of video evidence either taken themselves or by cctv ect something not around untill the last 20 years or so to any large extent so they get caught doesn't mean more stupid

I really can't agree with this thread considering I think of myself, someone who has lived on a 200 acre farm all his life, and haven't broken a bone in my body apart from than two knuckles in basketball. To tell you the truth I don't think I have done anything that I would call "Stupid" for about the last 3/4 of my life, other than playing endless hours of videogames .

Anyone want to point out something I might have done that showed I was acting "stupid"? Because at the moment, I can't think of anything o_O

Let's see off the top of my head the dumbs things I've done/do....

1. Play with fire
2. Play with wild, poisonous snakes
3. Makes bombs
4. Explode bombs
5. Turn a go cart track into a "Mario Kart" track(like bumper cars only dangerous)
6. Jump off a barn
7. Jump off a shed
8. Jump off my house
9. Jump down a 8'-12' deep hole
10. Jumping ramps on my bike without a helmet or any sort of pads
11. Jumping into the deep end of the pool while not knowing how to swim
12. Hang out with drag dealers
13. Hang out with addicts
14. Ride with one of my friends in his car
15. Allowed and encouraged said friend to do 140+

Just a small, small list of stupid things I've done, and I ain't even listed the absent minded crap I've done.

i don't think the human brain is capable of "getting dumber with time". whats more likely the case is that, we are less educated coupled with laziness.

i don't see how the human brain can de-evolve

brain de-evole-ing is esay enough if we got to a point where we no longer use it eventually higher brain functions and brain size could be lost

but it's deffinatley not the case now

The people on this forum play sgw, a text based game, which I find only smarter people with an attention span tend to play (although thats not always the case), as it requires reading and alot of attention to do well.

I am simply saying the people now adays, actions aside are generally dumber than previous generations, not everyone, but the majority of the planets population is getting dumber

Really? Cause I'd say that newer generations have better education then former generations. You use SGW as an example for intelligence, then tell me what the average age of the players is.

devolution probably isnt what would happen with out brains, well not in that our brains would become smaller or less mechanically capable of the same as we are/were (take your pick depending our your side of this)

What is most likely is we will form less 'connections' in our brain between the individual cells leading to simpler thought patterns in the long run, of course this is easy to correct with correct education from birth (the younger the brain is when it starts making connections the better) but can also be corrected in adults with intense training.

Darwin was full of crap and wind and his theory of evolution is nothing short of fraud

their is no such thing as "devolution"....

we will evolve to be dumber when it becomes advantageous to our survival.

Can you plz fill me in on the intelligence scale you are using to compare the people of present to the past?
