if origins should get separate race sections, then they should perhaps be set up the same way as the chaos race sections... that way clutter with too many sections can be avoided... (see spoiler for example)
main race sections wrote:General
Asgard/ Ancients
Replicators/ NanoTiMasters
Tauri/ Tollan
Goa'uld/ System Lords
Tok'ra (hidden)
Daimon

Chaos race sections wrote:Chaos Race Forums
Subforums: Replicator Forum, Re'tu Forum, Goa'uld Forum, Asgard Forum, Ori Forum, Wraith Forum
our suggestion for how it should be set up is the following:
Origins race sections wrote:Origins races
Subforums:
Replicator (one public, one hidden subforum)
Tau'ri Forum (one public, one hidden subforum)
Goa'uld Forum (one public, one hidden subforum)
Asgard Forum (one public, one hidden subforum)
Tok'ra Forum (one public, one hidden subforum)
we've no idea at the moment on how to manage access to those hidden subforums, but there surely is someone here that can figure that out... maybe through a system similar to that which is used for race mods? with people wanting access to their hidden section having to provide good evidence to their race mod(s?) that they belong to that race, and then getting access... time-consuming, yes, but it could work... spying would no doubt be attempted, but then, it would be done in the spirit of roleplay, so who cares?

one could of course also suggest using separate forums, but that has been tried in previous waves on chaos, and they generally exist a few weeks, then die out... thats why we didnt suggest that here...
