Well thats not whats funny, its HOW it got back up and how Tok`ra figures into this. As most of you know Robe and the forum staff have contact info for jason for just such an occurrence. However, none of their official contacts for jason worked.

So what do they do ? They call Tok`ra. While the forum admins contact info for Jason didnt work, apparently Tok`ra was able to call Jason at what had to have been 3-4am Jason's time, proably waking em up, and 5mins later the game is back up.

Rather big of Tok`ra, considering how he got his latest set of permabans.

I dont know what this is a bigger commentery on, The forum administaration not having proper communications, or that Tok`ra is the BEST SGW roleplayer in the history of the game. Or both.

While I will not comment on Tok`ras actions, nor the validity of the remarks concerning Tok`ra, I will set the record straight about the Fact I am 100% sure of.

1. I logged into SGW, as normal
2. 5 min later I logged into Ascended and it was down.
3, I logged back into SGW and it was down
4. I sent a Text message to Admin Jason which he has responded to about six times in the last 2 or 3 days.
5. I went to work

Now, saying that forum Admins don't have proper means of communication is incorrect information. Period.

That is the procedure witch Game Admin Jason has asked us to do. If the game goes down, its down. No harm. No need to wake him at 3AM. If someone is wreaking havoc ingame with a bug or exploit that will cause him massive amounts of work then we are to continue doing all we can to reach him, even if its waking him a 3AM.


Now as far as Tok`ra and his actions go, I congradulate him. I even thank him. As for your misguided information, I hope the record is set straight now.

And anyone can feel free to ask admin if I'm telling the truth. I still have all the text messages leading up to our unschedualed IRC meeting yesterday, and the 3 forum matters that were taken care of because of it..

lol semper. for the first time i can say i whole heartedly agree with you. 3-4 am is NOT the time to be pestering an admin. personally i'd just wait and hope that free PPT is given. meh. personally i dont take phone calls on my home phone after about 9:30pm, but my mobile (cell for you americans out there ) will remain on and on vibrate and then ill only take calls up till about 11:30.

and i dont take calls before or during classes at college so if anyone were to call me at those times i'd be very angry. if i were jason, i wouldnt care if the server is down........ i get too little sleep as it is.

customer service? for what? you can play for free as buck and co. have said, the ones who do pay only pay for perks. doesnt make it a full time service, thus no obligation to have the server running 24/7.....

tldr: SLEEP TIME IS SACRED. NO TOUCHY. YOU TOUCH, I DONT SLAP. I GET THE CHAINSAW OUT.

I know for a fact that the admins all have adequate means to contact Jason, this is first hand knowledge.

I do not think any of us doubt the forum admins ability to communicate with Jason. We are discussing any adequate reasons as to how, when and why that ability should be used and of course, how much of a tool tok'ra is.

Uhm, if Tok'ra hadn't rung Jason then surely the problem would have just been fixed a few hours later when he woke up?

As grateful as I'm sure we all are to Tok'ra for getting things sorted before they would have been otherwise, I think it's something of an overstatement to claim that he 'saved' SGW.

look there seems to be some confusion over who actualy typed the message i dont ecven play this game anymore just did a favour of Tok'ras behalf i C&Ped wat he asked me too nothing more
