What "martial law forces"? lol

Riot Police, but with military support as they'd need it to fight a "mech"

Well if your country is under such an attack it is likely that civilian law has been suspended (much like most of it was in ww2 in the UK) and military law (ie policy enacted directly by armed forces & police force) is in operation.

the reference was england in ww2 was mearly an example of how civilian law can & is suspended when a country is under an attack.

And lets face it you arent gonna be able to hide something like a mech easily even for 'covert ops' so it makes even more sense that once the country your mech is in has suffered one attack from it, they would use military law to allow them to find it

Furthermore, seems to me you have forgotten what the modern battlefield looks like. We are currently not fighting regular armies, but instead small militia type forces. There is no martial law forces, because there is no government.

Psych ops =/= Occupational army.

what Psych ops would do with a mobile suit, is deploy it inside an ENEMY stronghold, or conduct special raids with minimal(not no) information on the attack to give them the illusion of confronting a "superweapon".

I thought that the way Mobile Suits were introduced in Gundam Wing would have been pretty accurate. They discussed how they came about and such, and how they were used.

Kira's Strike Freedom Gundam used a weapon system which only would work in space >_>

it's not a debate. it's a specific topic informative post. merely the fact that OTHERS have decided to debate the original post does not automatically make it a debate thread.
