4 warnings in few minutes?

Well now that caesar is banned for spamming (3 warnings this morning) ..... My 1st thought is that someone went a bit crazy on spam warnings this morning.

All in all there were 16 warnings handed out among about 30 posts in the 3 day period before that thread was locked. That leads me to believe there is something wrong.
