A point to consider. I get on Beta sometimes when I am on PPT in main and nothing to do, and there is pretty much no lag there. So it might because of the people, because that is pretty much the only difference? There are like 2 to 6 people online in Beta mostly, and usually hundreds online in main. Of course other things like that suggested above may help the lag subside.

Hmmmm.....I've clicked all of the buttons possible on the armory page and the nav bar....took around 2 seconds. Maybe it's because I'm running Ubuntu?

What carrier do you have? I have Verizon- never had any problems with the loading times of this game except when my PC was infected with over 160 viruses. >.<

I find the lag swings some days it can be absolutely terrible taking 40+ seconds to load other days a maximum of 3 seconds. I dont know whether thats due to a time factor or what not, but its definitely something that needs to be fixed.
a laggy game will drive people away, its bad for everyone......admin included

this desperately needs to be fixed

I could swear it took longer than that also #-o

There have been a lot of topics about loading times and lag. Military Experience, number of accounts, rankings. .been a number of theories.

All we can do, is point it out again and again, in the IRC Meet.

And how do you do that?

The time to load page thing?

It says at the bottom of every page. At least for SGW.

Mebbe I'm lucky then? :?

This is with clicking both the repair buttons, mothership, and all of the nav bar buttons except the logout button, ending at the base page:

Time to Load Page base.php at 18:51 : 0.136445 seconds

It is very late at night, Let me try on my dodgy connection and see what i get....The americans are tucking themselves into bed, and the aussies are just wakeing up....

everyone mass we have uber quick server timez!

Time to Load Page marketplace.php at 18:57 : 0.007269 seconds

That was clicking every single button possible.

I win. On my shabby old pc, I think we can assume now, it is down to the traffic. A server upgrade it is, then.

Thing was we used to have 600 people online and no lag (or liveable lag).

Buck try clicking to get your inbox

Time to Load Page inbox.php at 19:04 : 12.714820 seconds

This is early 1904, not late 1904 but probably on the beginning of the turn script I know.
