So Sorrow bought SS with $$, Slug has Market SS which apparently means that the issue is NOT related to how you obtained SS to be able to upgrade the Bank!! Thanks.

I got a reply that my bank should be only 81b naq. How is that even possible? According the to quantum rules guide, your bank size is your natural income times .75 times 48 times 2.

My exact current income with no realm alert level is 2,708,358,200 per turn. Therefore, multiply by .75 and that is equal to 2,031,268,650. Multiply by 48 and you get 97,500,895,200. Multiply that number by 2 and you get 195,001,790,400. That was the number I had before finally getting a bank bonus this past week.

Let's assume I am not retarded and the numbers and letters that I read after each time I click the bonus each week did in fact tell me I received a 20% boost of my natural bank. Then, let's also assume that I would done this each week. And let's also assume, since I have told you I have done all this and take most at their word, that I am not lying out my azz, I should have a bank that is 260% (or 160% more than 100% because of eight weeks times 20%) of the 195 billion number I quoted. However, my current bank size is only 215,234,477,568. If I have received a 20% bonus as quoted, then if I divide my current bank size by my natural bank size, then why is that ratio only equal to 1.103 which says that my current bank is only 10% higher than my natural bank size?

This is it... I am trying to do well in this game and play it correctly but I seem to be on the short end of the stick when it comes to this issue.

Obviously this works for other people. The ratio works out perfect for Sorrow. He explained the math and I thought the exact same thing. It basically means I could have been doing something else, like taking untrained and been way farther in bank size by maybe 500k troops worth of bank size. Although that would work out to less than 20% increase total.

AM I CRAZY? Can a person who teaches linear equations, and calculus just not understand the simple fractions and percentages. This is driving me nuts. Is there some rule that I am not interpreting correctly that I need clarification on? I just would like better information, because my economics degree taught me to make decisions based upon hopefully perfect information and I have no idea what that is right now.

Thank you for all of your responses before and I am working on this. I just feel like this could be a bug for some users and they don't even know it. I just want the integrity of the game to be solid.

Your numbers look sound, and the math seems correct according to the rules.

Sounds as if you have been screwed in the other weeks!!

Sorrow explained his math and bank, and his works out to a bank that has gotten the 140% advantage added (7 of 8 weeks times 20%) and now you say that after e-mailing Admin your bank bonus worked, BUT, is still not a 20% increase the same as Sorrow received.

Hopefully Admin will find out what is wrong with your account!! Others may have similar issue (Could this be a BUG??) and not realize they have not been getting the full 20% bonus.

Can a MOD help this issue? Or should this be handled as a BUG issue?

Yeah your calculations look fine and something is totally screwed up with your account, hopefully admin will look into it. Don't know what that 81bill was supposed to be but whatever.

I guess we can't say it's a bug untill someone else has this same issue too.

You said your bank was approx 215bil or something, and that Admin said your bank should be 81bil ish.... Im just doing rough calculations, but it seems to me that 81bil is close to 40% of 215bil, and if you used the exact figures that % might be even closer to 40.

Incomes changed this era, I believe they increased by 150% (making 250%) and as we all know, 0.4 x 2.5 = 1

Maybe admins calculation was based on the old income levels? That would explain the estimate being 40% of the actual. Not sure if that helps in any way at all, but just thought I'd throw that out there.

Also... is your account new? Perhaps the changes made to incomes have in some way only affected accounts that were already live. Just another random guess.

ok i just looked at my bank and then used bonus and it added like lil more than 11 bil

i have a small army though so i am thinking its working for me

I believe Slug is on to something!! I'll bet he is correct that the Admins don't think you have a problem based upon a faulty calculation using the old revenue/income levels!! They took a quick stab, calculated your bank level using the old method, and assumed since your bank was higher than that figure that you were getting the bonuses...

If your account is a new one, he could even have another point, that the bug or issue may only show up in brand new accounts this Era. Of course, with the way new accounts have been added this Era, that could affect over 30 bazillion accounts, 20 bazillion of which are FEARLESS's... HAHA

it is working. i checked.
keep in mind the '3/4 of base 2 days income' is before all bonuses except race bonus, if applicable...
and it is 20% of base...ie if you have 5 20% increases, it doubles from normal. (not 'compound increases' )

I created my account in the last half of the last wave.

I have never heard about the 40% from the old rule. I used to play in early waves when it was always the same calculation I am doing. I have never played under the 40% rule.

Thanks for all the help everyone. If it turns out something is wrong or if I get a clarification on how it is calculated, I will let you know. However, I definitely gave you accurate numbers. I tried being ambivalent before but now I am just frustrated with it so I was being as completely honest as I could to try and help my case.

Thanks Admin!! I am curious to see how this calculation is really supposed to work... Having a good sized bank is such a big advantage at the end of a Quantum Era so I have been chagrin to use the 20% bank bonus of the Weekly market for fear it is not such a reall addition or advantage!!
