I just watched news coverage on this. (i don't watch the news that much)

Plz don't listen to all the media hype, just keep up to date with this and wash your hands a little more than usual.

My god did they chomp down this like they hadden't eaten for days. Sensationalizing peices of **Filtered**. Can't put anythign important into goddamn context.

ahh if ever there was a justification for my continued use of surgical scrub soap & throw away paper towels this would be it

It's obviously not under control.. I have a few friends that know of a few people who probably have it, while there has "only" been 1 "confirmed" case in my city..

On a personal note apparently I have a few of the symptoms so I may have it.. kind of disturbing.. Hope my immune system holds out
On the other side of the spectrum I may also be immune to it, as my mom had HongKong Flu (Closely related to N1H1) and survived, which means she is immune and that immunity may have been passed on genetically

Also if you received a flu shot, our family doctor said you are probably protected as well. (I didn't but the rest of my family did )

at any rate, beyond the media sensationalism of the spread of this flu, it's no more deadly than the flu strains that have been going around for years. Most people who die from it are usually suffering from existing respiratory problems already. Not fun, but not really as demanding of the media attention it's been getting.

There's nothing to fear from this virus. The media is just doing what the media does best, scare you motionless so you wont leave the TV thus they can make more money off ad revenue.

You cannot allow people to walk around in their infectuous condition.

Basically, that's what the whole thing comes down to.. while I disagree with the procedures, I do see the extreme rationalism behind it.

Ah well.. if it's true.. at least we're making progress.
