Tetris is this another thread were you can bash other people's belief and waste yourself in arguments that you somehow think are righteous?...So far i cannot see anything intelligent in this discussion but the decimating of people that believe and have faith in God.

Take a chill pill, honey. This thread is quite positive, you should really calm down and read again.

Tetris' main complaint is against forced religion, and I think you and I and everyone agree that religion is not something you force upon your children/family.

Or maybe you don't, we can talk about that then.
The rest of the people here seem quite content with religion, or with the images of god, or the concept of god.
So in essence.. the thread *is* quite positive. Don't turn it into something negative because you might have taken a little jump in your assumptions.

Aye...I'm just fed up with people thinking God is something you can create or mold on to yourself. On topic(i hope) I am FEVERTLY against the use of religion as some sort of "hammer to beat down the innocent" to use something that has connections with the game

.The first thing someone which truly believes in God learns is TOLLERANCE!

You do realise the irony of that sentence?

How can you demand "true belief in God" and preach "tolerance"?

I mean no offense, but in my experience the first thing a 'true believer' learns is that they are God's Favourites, go to Heaven, and have to behave according to a strict moral code. Also, that anyone who does not believe in said deity, will burn in Eternal Hellfire. While I understand the cause-effect relation of "disbelief" and "eternal damnation", I have tried to connect the "tolerance" you attribute to 'true believers' with that dogma without much luck.

Can you help me there?

Yes i can. There are no "true-believers" or people that are "eternally-damnated".First of all people that actually have faith in God don't do it to go to Heaven, they do it because they understand the actuall reason why God made us and sent His Son on Earth.Second,i believe its the old catholic dogma that states that all that do not conform shall burn eternally in Hell, but even they don't say that anymore...You can do porn, kill, rape and so on but NO ONE can tell you your going to Hell...Are they God to see that?I think not...Third,tollerance is one of the most important things in one's believing in God,faith is tested by the "passing" of situations or events that harm or aww us,we must show tollerance rather than succomb into the ignorance of striking the striker.I hope that clarifies it for you...

While I understand Tolerance per say there is one unfortunate down fall is when people contend they are more tolerant than another..the very definition is confusing to compete and say Im right and your wrong always occurs soon after. So how can you say one person is right and another is wrong this is why I never state my belief someone will always be offended no-matter what it is I only ever say your belief is yours and its right for you as mine is my own. You have to work it out yourself thats what I think.

I don't practice, but I know there's God, and I am more likely a christian than anything else if I'm something.
I can't stand people who pretend there's no God and that those who think there's are misguided/manipulated. But I also can't stand forcing religion, fundamentalism and extremism that twistes the religion and gives it a bad image.
I will read some of the "important books" these holidays perhaps (important books of christianity)...might be interesting and learnful read!
My teenage is over so now start to act like an adult :p

i believe we are all put on this earth (not put as in a religious or evolutionary sense. we are all put on this earth by our mothers and fathers) to be the best that we can be, live a life according to morality and decency. we should live our lives with love and compassion for ALL mankind and leave this world in a better state than when we found it after our arrivals.
when i say we should leave it in a better state i dont mean we all turn into tree hugging hippies, i mean we all should something to leave a positive mark on the world and the people we will know in our lifetimes...
oh, and for those of you who believe in the theory of evolution...Even Charles Darwin thought his own theory was "grievously hypothetical" and gave emotional content to his doubts when he said, "The eye to this day gives me a cold shudder." To think the eye had evolved by natural selection, Darwin said, "seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest possible degree." But he thought of the same about something as simple as a peacock's feather, which, he said, "makes me sick. " Of course, anyone who has knowledge of the intricacies of the human eye and other living structures immediately realizes the problem Darwin sensed. How could an organ of such an intricate magnificence ever have a originated via random chance?
you should all research Darwen's own doubts about his theory before he even published it!
