its one thing to have domesticated animals to give us things like wool, food, milk and so on...

and i did say "purely from a moral stand point"..that stand point is my own personal POV obviously since no 2 people have the same moral standard.

the keyword (or letter lol) here is, "I" find it offensive, that doesn't mean i don't understand the need for culling certain animals in certain areas, but to have those dead animals then be processed to heat my home?!

no thanks!

Well hang on KMA, these rabbits are gonna get culled anyways, the plant is just taking the 'bodies' to feed the fires as it were.

What do you want done with the rabbits caught in the cull? you want them all buried?

Its better they get used for something productive rather than just getting stuck in the ground to rot isnt it?

And it is exactly like fossil fuel, which is made up from the remains of trees and dead animals (coal & oil) All that is happeneing here is the middle man is been cut out.

well, it has been said that if we had to kill our meat we would all be vegetarians, dunno how true that would be if all there was to eat was meat lol

its no biggie (nor was it my intention to make it such) at the end of the day, its just a personal thing, the only reason i posted this topic in the first place is because i thought it was funny and others might find it interesting, makes a change from posting about the NWO lol

anyways, processing dead animals to heat my home, i dunno, just sounds wrong, maybe its just me :?

I will eat anything healthy and classed as food, and tbh if this is a solution to fuel consumption...good one...

Why not use rats instead? Rabbits are cute, rats are a plague..
I tend to find quite barbarian to use rabbits as fuel (or almost any other animal)...however, rats..

@Story: Yeah.. *grin* frozen, then grounded and stamped into bits and mixed with wood chips..
What a way to go.. damn those Swedes.

I was almost disappointed you didn't find a link to some nitwit claiming they are slipping political enemies in with the bunnies.. but thank you.

This was one funny story. "Mommy mommy! Billy is broken. He doesn't move anymore." -"Billy's dead, son.. he's going on a long trip." "Mommy mommy, where is Billy going to go? Can I go with him?" -"No son.. Billy's going to be frozen solid, then grounded and pounded and broken into little bits and pieces, mixed with a few chips of wood, and then .." "Mommy mommy, why?" -"They'll burn him, son.. because you can't take a little cold."

*grin*

How quaint. Anyway, as long as it's bunnies, you won't hear me complain. My grandpa once had a few rabbits. You don't really want to know what he did to the little ones that were 'surplus'.

@Jim: Seriously.. rabbits carry diseases as much as rats. And they're more vicious, because they look cute, but are at least as filthy as rats.

for all those who think rabbits are a new source of fuel, maybe you should ask who killed Stan Meyer, the inventor of the water powered car...and just in case you think i'm nuts...Stan Meyer held patents, and you don't get patents for things that don't work ;)

i can live in a house which is warmed by the dead bodies of those who killed Stan Meyer 8)

Actually KMA you can patent anything, even if it doesnt work. A patent does not imply that the item is working or will work as you expect it to.

oh & from that guys wiki page

Meyer's claims about his "Water Fuel Cell" and the car that it powered were found to be fraudulent by an Ohio court in 1996

i thought to get a patent you had to prove a few things, like, its an original idea and that it works? :?

anyways, Stan was no fraud, apparently, Stan's friends say he always drove around in his car, and Stan was also offered huge sums of money to sell his idea.

anyways...

They awarded ingame voice chat patents back in 1994 long before the internet was even capable of supporting such a service.

hmmm....i see i stand corrected with respects to patents awarded to original inventors/inventions :?
