Using classifications for ships in a rpg forum is never a good idea, which absent minded ping pong ball role plays as a ship? On top of that... then suddenly changing it to a specific class of troop for the later rankings? I could splutter a better ranking system out from my ass whilst suffering from a mild case of dysentery!
You cannot use specific troop classifications as it is too exclusive to certain role plays or uncorrelated to other aspects of the game and community. I mean.. why Ori? Why not human slave, jaffa, first prime, lotar, Goa'uld, system lord, supreme system lord? Or sergent, major colonel, general and all that jazz?
Suggestion: (put forum before each word)
Newbie (0-100)
Initiate (100 - 500)
Regular (500 - 2000)
veteran (2000 - 4000)
elder (4000 - 6000)
ancient (6000 - 8000)
spammer (8000 - 10000)
award of personal title (10,000+)
you want further names?
how about... doing it as class's or levels.
Level 5 poster.. class A poster.
You could even sturr it up a bit and have the good old List's in the community. A list players, B list players and beyond.
i dunno.. but just get rid of this nonsense...

the order on the titles is a bit random yes... we cannot deny that... (and the order might change...) it was an attempt at stargatifying the title system...
if there's a stargatey title you think should be there, feel free to suggest it...
the reason its not a direct ranking system, is that while a person might have 2000 posts, it does not mean that those 2000 are all better than the posts of a user with 700...
