More fun as in "Oh not it takes more effort, i object"

The suggestion is to curb the obvious power-tipper that the MS has become. Not simply to slow peoples raid productions

Also, i recall an episode, where they took out a gate defense group in about 10 seconds with the alien devices, so...

So you wholeheartedly believe, 11-12 planets entire defensive network, should be able to be over-come with 1 ship? Even though most planet invasions took several ships, if the planet was evolved beyond iron-age development.
It was never intended to be the "exact purpose of it". Hence the slots used to be reset. It's only become that way now, due to original game mechanics being changed.

it's a trade off.

i think we have a conflict of terms.
when i say power-tipper, i mean the thing that tipps the balance in your favor.
the "little somthing extra" that gives you an edge.
that's the purpose of a mothership.

sorry, i guess i'm a little slow, because i still can't see your point.
might wanna spell it out for me.

i might add that:
a) taking the "realistic" POV, setting your ship to "attack" isn't much more realistic then it is now (unless you put a cooldown timer).
b) taking the "true to canon" POV: Ori supergates

now, MS might have become too powerful. then put a cap on them, make them less powerful, what ever. DON'T introduce a new feature which is incoherent with up to date game-play.

As it stands in the game now, the ONLY things TRULY worth investing in, is the MS. Everything else, is substandard the way i see it.
Better then UP: Cause with the added power, you can easily farm the naq you want to get the UU you require, don't worry about UP
Better then Naq production: Since in 1 turn, could could farm more from 1 account, than any 1 person can accumulate by Naq production alone
Better then Covert: Again, farm the naq you want to get the UU. All you need to do, is test their Def with your MS. So you only need 1/5 of their covert anyway.
Better then Defense: Since it's additional power to an offensive force, being able to double it to an extent, allows attacks to damage defenses (built only of Units), which are 6x more trained then the attack
Better then Attack: Because it can double the attack, without and extra units to get killed or weapons to get sab'd
Better then Planets: Since if you see a planet you like, you just take it. And no one can stop it.
Better then Ascending: Arguable. Yes in that it can give you the blessing EVERY attack, but no, in that ascending adds power to the MS anyway.

Point was, you said its NOT possible to attack someone more then like 1 time/minute. And the example was showing a device that allowed them to attack a gate defense in about 5-10 seconds

Its only "up-to-date" cause it is in now. It wasn't before, and THEN was up-to-date also, yet it changed the game-play :?

hm wouldn't that cause more server lag, the idling system?
becasue i fear the only way to work that out would be to work it in in the turn click (which is already lagged) otherwise you'd have to keep tabs in all player's MS every minute putting a lot of stress on the server calcs?
