oh noes! clicking a button! It hurts us! NOOO! PLEASE!!! DONT MAKE US CLICK THE BUTTONS!!! NOOOOO!!!!

mocking aside, I see no harm in this... and only potential gain... note that he is not asking you to use your own money to pay for stuff in the forum... in fact, the only cost, is a few seconds of your time...

If only the persons pouring personal $$ into the game are the ones financing it, who do you think it will serve the game to only do the updates that would hurt them?
If he no longer has to worry about those people to keep the game running, he will be able to update the game more fairly...

we'd gladly have clicked those buttons, but our main account is on vacation right now...

complaining would have been right here, if the money involved in this clicking had:
  1. gone to feed the pockets of ~Josh~
  2. gone out of your own money
  3. benefited a third party without benefiting the game in any way
  4. several of the above

again, Thank you. I am not doing this for personal gain, but more money means more updates and better game speed, and its even better when the money isnt comming from your pocket

Sorry Z, but you just made Jason look worse then he already does.

I might consider clicking a few links, but considering his piss poor customer care I could give a hoot less if he ever gets paid again. I was a consistant supporter, but no longer. If hes too lazy to even put forth enough effort to even attempt to appear like he cares, then he can expect the same in return.

it's true that maybe people would care more if he did what was expected of him but perhaps something like this will draw him out again if he sees the community is trying to help him.... of course that could just be wishful thinking lol

the free community of players is the real power of this game and in the last year has been reduced a lot. guess what affected them???
not working for the free players will reduce aswell the new blood and cash players wont need to spend more.

we'd gladly have clicked those buttons, but our main account's are phased, for now ... for now ...

I think he should covertly add a link to the attack/raid button to register our clicks on other sites  ..................now that would make some money =P~

ROFL Harakesh... Anyway.. good iniative Josh, however, 70k accounts although it sounds much isn't that much... if you eliminate any unnecessary background processes, you can put the whole database in one in-house server... it's all plain text, not like WoW, GUild Wars, Counterstrike and such which use heavy graphics... the graphics and the calculations of it take more time for a few thousand players then the whole of TGW uses for the maths of the game...
Also, perhaps his own fault, but Jason is busy with SEVERAL servers... although I admit it seems he prioritizes a bit wrong.
