who plays a FPS on a PC? Seriously? How bad at a game do you have to be to need to have the PC make you super accurate and insure you have the ability to hide behind the awkward controls.

PC's are built for strategy and RPG games... none of this nonsense.. please...

Well the people that buy 1200$ worth of gaming gear and earn tenfold playing FPSs on a computer might disagree! :D

They can disagree...they're wrong though. :-)

They shouldn't waste their money either.. why spend £800 on a computer when you can get an xbox 360 for £200, the game for £30, xbox live for £40 (£270) and then if you have to have a computer...buy a laptop capable of playing all up to date games on reasonable settings for £450. The game will cost another £30... ooo... so you get double the flexibility for £50 ($80 or so..) cheaper.

@ Tek. Wii drinking games ftw!

The wii....oh god :(

The wii, imho, is a gaming abomination, much like DDR or any other game that requires gratuitous movement of ones body etc. The wii takes away what makes gaming gaming. And what gaming is about to me is sitting on ones arse for hours on end in the same dam spot moving nothing but thumbs and possibly your index and middle fingers. it has been this way ever since I've played the sega master system when i was 6. While the wii is a fun and enjoyable system, it is not for me.

Semper I do agree with you on the PC thing though.

serious games on the wii are poor.

But its the multiplayer stupidness that and affordability that makes up for the fact it isnt a true gaming platform

Semper wrote:No.... the fact they're homo's further displays just how unmanly you have to be to get it on a PS3. How didn't you get that? lol...

Who said you're more manly than those two anyway? I want to see creditable sources before I even begin to consider accepting such a claim. I would have originally put you on par until the shameful event that is the purchase of a PS3 game...

Well, one of them is a noob, Canadian and obsessed with anime. The other calls me Boss.

I don't consider being paid to do ones hobby a profession or even a job. Football and any paid sports are jokes with ridiculous undeserved wage packets..if it was up to me.. the maximum wage available to a professional sports person would be £5,000 a year.. if I was in a good mood at the time of the legislation.

Oh but Semper. Your logic is flawed. What if my hobby is debating law? Does that mean I should not get paid to be lawyer, judge or politician? What if my hobby was investigating mysteries, then should I not be paid to be an investigator? What if my hobby was flying? Should I not be paid to be a pilot? What if my hobby was driving big rigs, should I then not be paid to drive Wal-Mart trucks? Et cetera et cetera.

what if his hobby was to be a mass murdering dictator, should he not be paid to perform genocide?

anyways, we play FPS on computer... not recently, but we do play them there... and we dislike playing them on console, too cursed hard to aim... (we did enjoy that time when we shot someone in the face from about 1m away with a shotgun, though... he really didnt expect that...)

A lawyer, a detective, a pilot and a transporter are all integral part of society. A professional sports player is not entertainment opposed to a nations functioning is a bit different... so no.. as always my logic is not flawed. :D
