can i create a thread to "discuss" it then?
anyway back on topic, i doubt there are really any more left tbf
as most of the known bugs have been "cleared"

Besides the vac bug i read about earlier. They will always pop up from time to time, but as to whether there are any present now is unknown.

well it would help if some "unadvertised" functions were discribed as such as many would say the planet "feature" is a bug/exploit. There are still many out there but since admin doesnt act on them or correct them they have become "unadvertised features".

I never attacked anyone after that point. The MS was something outrageous. I don't recall the numbers but given the economy of the game I reckon about 5 years before anyone sees them numbers from TODAY. It must have been 2 years ago. I did report it, but saw nothing happen until someone hit me and noticed it on their logs. It was only until that kerfuffle that the issue was raised. Of course, admin subsequently put my MS back. I never gained any advantage from this mothership other than winning one battle in the space of two weeks (I was incredibly timely with my banking and always set realm alert over night - aside from that I didn't generate enough to be farmed anyway).

Good show right? No. Point is, there MUST be people who have managed to exploit these things over a sustained period of time. I could have bought a trillion attack weapons and sold them gradually. It makes you wonder. Even two years ago I remember noticing at least one account that was sat near the 400m army mark. Much beyond the average at the time. An account which in fact kept itself to itself, presumably to keep a low profile. I know this is an exponential game, but there have been some rather dramatic breakthroughs in the time I have watched the game develope.

always wondered if that was how Blahh ever got his planets to what they were.

His planets were way ahead of his time.

And scuttles....he was an interesting fella, he knew his hacks. I got to know him on msn because I threatened him and he threatened to hack my account. Found out he lived an hour from me in Wilmington, NC so we became pretty much mutual friends. He had made some serious cash off this game, according to him, hundreds of thousands. he said he was gonna keep making accounts like he did, but I never had any proof besides his word.

Wouldn't suprise me if he was still floating around. His income came from this game.

I remember at the admin meet right before the update to MS and Planets was introduced, ( this is when Blahhs planets had def's that couldnt be massed, and the MS tech update would put them in reach ) he told admin and everyone in the channel, that if admin went ahead with this update, he was going to get 2 QUAD naq.

It would take you along time to farm that, so where was he going to generate 2 Quad naq from...

Anyone who exploits any bugs and does not report them, should be perma banned from the game, and never have there current account unbanned, even if it is "sold" onto someone else.

Yea I remember that because I beta tested the ms techs with my old fleets and as long as I got all 10 levels I could take his planets and he knew it. Lol.

But yeah he farmed a lot, but he wasn't getting enough to buy uu for his loses, upgrade his ms, buy AT's and increase his planets.

I remember one time I asked scuttles if he could put an outrageous amount into Blahh's account while he was online and on ppt and I would screen shot it and see if he would spend it. Woulda been funny at least

The lines between "glitches" and "features" are so blurred its not even funny. It is impossible for us to know as a players what admin intended to be hidden features and what he did not. So to judge whether someone is exploiting a bug, or utilising a feature is impossible. It would be better if the definitions were clearer so honest players know what they should/shouldn't do.
