ok, got to add another monster to our list...

3. Ellen Ripley (alien Resurrection)

she's definetly not human... she's got this nice antipathy towards humans, and acid blood...

and an excellent personality...

I really MUST insist on argueing with you on that Point Zer...

Ellan Riply, the human version is not what we are talking about, for those unfortunate enough not to have watched Ressurection, She is infact, Number "8" and a human with Alien aspects, such as a slightly huntery personality, and killer insticts , and of course acid blood. I dont think she was a monster as such...

She helps the humans escape, then has sex with the alien queen, and makes what can only be described as a REAL monster, the very VERY cute, and extremely evil Alien Human Hybrid. If your gunna get monstery, it doesnt get much more evil that that thing, It rips off its own mothers head about a minute after birth.

Of course if we are getting onto Hybrids, theres also the Predlien, The Alien/Predator Hybrid.

Speaking of predator, never scared me too much, obviously, the original concept is, it goes in search of worthy prey, I can catagorically state i would NOT be worthy prey! And if i was, it would fight me properly, in which case, I'd hit it really hard. The predator gives you respect, and a bit of a chance. Hence it never terryfied me the way aliens did.

the ellen ripley from the first three movies, is no monster... that is true... but the one from resurrection, is a monster... not an truly evil monster, but neither is she a very nice one... not all monsters fit the bill of "evil" and being "bad guys"... take the looney tunes "monster", gossamer... it never really harms anyone, yet it is without a doubt a monster... or the monsters from "monsters vs. aliens"... they are not evil... but they're monsters...

as for predator, we agree... its inhuman, but no monster... it has an extreme sense of honor...

OOOoo good one, monsters :D

Critters were funny as hell, but not very smart and easy to kill, kinda like Gremlins so not a great monster IMO

The Thing, has to be near the top, same with The Blob, The Stuff and Leviathan, the alien/mutant type creatures are all killable but these are virtually indestructible.

Of course I love the Daleks like any other true sci-fi fan, god bless the new Dr Who series for making them formidable, they always seemed a bit silly in the old low budget series
