for 39, construct a Born-Haber diagram, from a very brief glance i would say (a). Given the nature of the question (your not required to calculate/lookup any other enthalpies - vaporisation etc)

if you want, i can go over them for you, will take me a few days to find the time, but i should be able to manage most of them

why am i not surprised you replied here

cos i am a chemistry machine?

i was better [-(

hahaha, you managed to keep a straight face saying that?

but i is paying SGW naq!!!
do chem questions time = farm SGW naq time]

anyways i got the entire first set done,
so it's just the last 20 Qs, i would love explanations : )

sgt. johnkeel, for 39, it's D, i did that one and 36 is E lol...straight chain alkanes are more stable than substitutions

yes yes yes people help me
msn : anthonylau23@hotmail.com
you will get my love : )
p.s. did i say i was looking for a new alliance to join? : P

straight chain alkanes are more stable than substitutions

exactly, because they stack more neatly, they have stronger intermolecular bonding, thus they boil at higher temperatures, thus a lower vapour pressure => C < A

for 39, i'd like to see your working, i still reckon its (a)
