How very... old testament of you... lol. It`s allways the most in touch with god folk that has the most lucifer pleasing oppinions on these matters, isnt that funny heh.

I think it`s a good idea.

Current penal systems obviously don`t work. We need to mature as a society and as a repression aparatus. Is this the way? Who knows. But I hear such "projects" have good results in temrs of "rehabilitating" people so... time will tell.

Lol i was being dry.

But, rehab sometimes works, sometimes doesnt.... so why waste money?

that's a very Christian attitude...Jesus would be proud of you.

if you cant say what you mean, then you cant mean what you say...as the saying goes.

so, what does the bible have to say about reforming criminals/prisoners...if you cant reform/save more than X% then its a waste of time and money? :?

me seems to remember Lot asking the angels if the city of Sodom and Gomorrah would still be destroyed if there was just 1 good person within the city walls...

yes he can the bible does however say you should not judge a non-beliver

can't get much more judging than death sentance

if rehabilitation saves one person from reafending is it worth the money i'd like to say yes but not sure if a i could but nothing comapred to what KMA saw on his trip helps a lot of people a lot more so it is worth the money the homeless and unemployed should be given the same option of free education in a trade ect work for the dole does it quite well

I think you dont and a comprehension of quip .

It isnt ever a waste of time and money, however, there are some criminals that cannot not to be reformed due to personal choice, or circumstance.

Still, it is better to treat the root of reasons why criminals commit crime. Education and training is the first step.

....and?

and what does that have to do with the price of rice? :?

the point being (since you either missed it or ignored it), is that God was willing to spare such a blatantly evil and decadent city if just 1 good person was found inside its walls...can we do less amongst our fellow man because of money?

My dad was a prison guard in one of the most dangerous prisons in Romania. He told me that there were a lot of prisoners with violent tendencies towards themselves because of the poor life they had, which is why they had to steal/kill/etc. They were first reluctant to work in any sort of school or factory but after being beaten by the guards several times and having some talks with them, all often realised its actually something they could very well benefit!A lot of former prisoners are now accomplished crafters/workers and earn an honest living.Of course this is not always the case, but lets dissect for a second:
1:No luxuries whatsoever.
2:Its prison, you get stabbed, beaten and all the cruelties that you can imagine go on there...
3:After they get out what will they do?
When these all accumulate, and their not idiots, anyone can realise this is an immense favour they are being granted and some find pleasure and even have talent in what they are doing, as opposed to Western prisons were its sometimes like a bad hotel with no room service. Prison should be BAD, i mean REALLY BAD but also with a taint of hope and tries to find some security in a detainees life...
