Anybody who masses me and somehow expects me not to use every resource at my disposal to hit them back is an idiot. I join alliances for the camaraderie. I join alliances where the members support one another. I don't join them so they can gawp like morons at the sidelines whilst my account gets annihilated.
If two people have a preconceived arrangement for a vendetta and want to play at being knights, then that's fair enough. But just hitting someone and declaring that it's a 'vendetta' as a means to avoid greater retaliation is absurd. I've never believed in them, and anybody who's ever hit me has found that out.

I asked for a vendetta when i read the PM xeen had said about me. I fully intend to persue the matter personally when the current war ends.
Dastupy, mayhem had been farming wob for weeks, There was gunna be a war, dont blame me!
Onto the main point....
The game mechanics and players attitudes make it impossible to do anything worth while anymore. I cant handle saying the same thing over and over again, Or being sniped at by some half cocked fool who wants to take on anyoine and everyone for ME.
God damn, Im gunna make my peace and give up.

Vendetta's should be agreed before any fighting starts, there is no point massing someone, then going and starting a vendetta thread asking for rules or 1-v-1, by then it's to late, there are no rules when you start with a low blow.
If some big account guy wanted a vendetta with a friend of mine who only had a small account, then I would jump in to even the odds.
But if a friend with a small account started a vendetta against a bigger account, then thats up to to them, none of my business.
BUT most important of all.... NO Buck dont go

Why is it that noone can simply wave pompoms for a friend anymore, but rather interject themselves onto anothers business and take what was once a personal fight into a much larger issue?
Why can I not go into that corner of the Galactic Colloseum and call out someone I feel needs a swift kick in the ass, without worrying about some big guns being called in when he can't handle the web he has weaved?
I ask the community this simple question, and take it as you will.
Why is it, that noone can respect the sanctity of a vendetta and keep their hands to themselves?
I agree mate i think its utter pathetic when other people go into vendettas and just mass people for no reason....
People with Big Egos, personally i think its terrible how people can be so confident they must be social monsters and hide in there rooms all day
this Topic is full of things need to be answerd i agree with u SS, well done for posting this topic bud

Have you actually read Rodwolf his post?
Buck was farming mayhem =>Rodwolf told him to hit us 1 more time and he's gonna mass WOB.
As reply buck hitted us 3 times.
And tried making a vendetta knowingly that we would mass them.
Buck wasn't trying to get us outta a war, that would happen or not mate, Buck didnt like what Xeen had been saying about him. Sadly this makes you both incorrect

You are correct in Xeens mates (you guys in mayhem) were not jumping in to help out Xeen cause he couldnt fight it himself.
On the note of the topic, I think it has been fairly safe to say that it hasnt ever been all that....er.... Sanctified

If a small chap wants to do stupid things he should be prepared to be smacked for it, same as a big guy really, however, some people will always go running to mother.

I suppose you can look at this two ways.
1. You call out the player and a 1-1 ensures. This is a true warrior battle.
2. A pack is far more dangerous then an individual.
So, a individual who gets called out may be weaker then the other player, but when you add the rest of the pack, they become a much different animal.
Have a look at the many succesful alliances/empires in this game.
Many of them could go 1-1 and win easily, however I have noticed that those stick together. Family if you will.
You want me, you get the alliance. This then makes it more intimidating for the person who calls out the other player.
Is it being chicken?, maybe; is it being smart, possible. At the end of the day, this game can be played anyway a player wants.
I started this game, thinking of honour, but now, honour goes out of the window and dirty tactics come into play. Do I agree with that, not really, but you have to adapt, and if that means, you want me you get my family then so be it.
Very rarely in life, when a fight starts, it stays to just two people. The rest jump in. Family is no 1.
It is not fair, it is not a honorable way to do things, it is life, and ultimately a true 1-1 rarley happens unless it is agreed upfront.
State of the game I am afraid.

Well way I look at it... if someone wants to fight me man to man it's not a matter of who struck first.. it's a matter of it's man to man and if you cannot respect that, even if your opponent is a tiny man wimp and needs to hide behind their alliance or needs to insidiously wait for their alliance to start a full blown war at least you had the balls to stand up and be the more respectable decent human being. Hell it might not mean anything in the grand scheme of things as far as stars and planets go.. but it certainly makes sure you can stand up and claim to have a spine and be a man people can trust.

I think this thread has a point. As much as Im called names and insulted in the forums and in PM's and called a fake and cant play and slow and old bla bla bla, I havent had a total of 5 players accept anyone of my open challenges to date.
