Us in SU have had medals (not annual awards, but it still does fit in the category of awards I guess) since we created it and sure some other alliances might've had it before us, but we haven't seen them and decide "WOW, we wanna have medals too to make us look more serious", it's a way to keep track of who has done what in the past and basically thank that particular player for doing that with giving him a medal, as some medals are very hard to get.

As pointed out above way more alliances than TTF have awards. DDE wasn't the inventor of the awards.

Next thing you know they're gonna be like ooooooo look they're PPTing or Farming like us. OMG! They wanna be just like us.

I came back, tried playing nicer, got walked on, so back to my old self. Kinda hard to be my old self when I'm not as strong as I used to be, but things will change. They always do.
