So what account date actually makes someone supposedly Old School?

Or is that just self delusion and belief.

Anything before the CIA COP war i reckon will do. So 2005/2006.

After that it got easy.

Oh joy... by that definition I coun't as old school but don't sign me up. I speak of my original account here too not my current one which I admit is younger.

That gives peoples a date though by which to judge their accounts and which team I guess.

Well I don't think it's the best defnition for Old School to be honest. It's an easy one true and quite good in establishing who is and isn't but I don't think it covers enough ground.

I'd take old school to be at least the following:

1. Massed their first before before COP/CIA war
2. have built up their own account or in their starting account*
3. Remembers the Crystal Force zillions of allainces not just from heresay!

*special circumstances exceptions available here - like quit game and came back but the predominant amount of work on establishing the account should be done by the current player - aka most ascensions and ownership time.

I think those terms are reasonable. Some people started an account long ago and quit and came back or whatever.

Yes Tekki but, say S T I returned to game and wanted a new account, would you not have counted him as an old skool player if he got it?
IMHO the starting date and what you have done in the old skool era time makes you an old skool player, not the account you posses or don't posses.

Actually that's not true Neimenljivi.

If STI returned today and started a new account he'd be fully qualified by my definition to go into Old School. Example:

1. Massed their first before before COP/CIA war - STI did.
2. have built up their own account or in their starting account* - He would be in his NEW accoutn and therefore it would BE his starting account. this actually says nothing about how old the account is.
3. Remembers the Crystal Force zillions of allainces not just from heresay! - STI would remember this.

So by the definitions then yes he'd be fine if he was to come back.

The thing that might invalidate him would be if someone gave him an account but then special dispensation may be argued I guess.
