But lest i forgot, the words that man spoke...what was he saying? Is he making a point?

He was making a point yes, and as KitFox and others have pointed out it's a point with some validity. The erosion of national sovereignty and and increased europeanization of indigenous institutions are always things which
ordinary citizens should be concerned about.
Oh but I'm concerned about it and am an ordinary citizen, I'm just on the pro EU side, despite admitting EU has some flaws that tend to be annoying (European Human Rights Court or whatever it's called in english language for example I see as a flaw)
Well if you look at the bigger picture, not flaws that want that have no connection to you as a person and are just some theoretical nuisance perhaps you would be interested in actually shaping our future rather than
just trusting the first things that someone tells you...
Such as the ones saying EU is the evil incarnated and want to come back to a rather primitive and nowadays weak, kind of states?

Oh yes. Like Russia for example. Those evil comunists are soo weak and small in comparison to the allmighty EU. Being a sovereign state doesn't mean you'r weak Jim, not always unity=power or strength, as in this case... EUROPE as we know it is the next USSR on a different kind of manipulation.
Russia...name me one country in EU that is comparable to Russia, military wise, population wise, diplomacy wise. There is NONE. Quite the example to NOT throw out. France-Germany couple can compete, and even...
Oh yes manipulation, "the governement is lieing to you, they manipulate you" heard that already sufficient times to know when it's the case and when it's not.
Wow Jim...Genius! And why is no one like Russia then? I mean its not like they haven't had their bad times and trouble...with the colaps and all. Perhaps they have something i like to call nationalism and self preservation. Unlike all other countries that would sell themselves for a bit of the neighbour's wealth and prosperity... Like France and Germany. And you wouldn't know manipulation if someone said it was. Tip : Not everything that politicians say is true and sometimes they don't even mean it!

Russia has been a superpower for a long time. UK used to be one, but they tended to be minimized with the rise of USSR during and after WW2. UK was a major actor until WW2 end. They are still a decent military power, but they lost their superpowerness a while before joining EU if anyone was to cry wolf about it.
Nationalism...do you know what it caused within Europe? This being a good thing? Oh my god, and you're the one trying to give lessons in the end of your posts...priceless.
Russia isn't really either the kind of balanced country...so it's diplomacy/militarian superpower...but I don't think the living there is among the best. Unless you want to live in an authoritarian regime self admiring and cutting down opposition who doesn't agree...
"Lesson" is competly uncalled, as if you bothered to read my posts Mr with "

" smiley user, I pointed out that people tend to tell bs...because you know...politicians aren't all right wing pro EU, but also left wing, anti EU etc...

Is that you being condescending? I am Romanian first and European after Jim, and i will not give my national identiy, for which my people has fought 1000 years or more for a chance to play with the pig boys and share their toys. I will die before there is no more Romania. Now i understand you'r a big fan of the EU and its promises of peace prosperity and probability so i want to take you'r biast view and oppinion and stick it so far that when the time comes for you to see what is actually right in front of you comes it'll be like a warning flag! i didn't teach you anything Jim since you know everything... you'r world must be awesome to live in, much like a utopia!

You started the "

" way to me, so yea, I was condescending as a result

.
partSame as the ones thinking their country is the uber awesome of all without moderation and realism, aka nationalists.
Now you are being brainwashed...there will not be no more Romania anytime soon. You follow too much the euroskeptical/antieuro politicians/theorists.
Also, what is actually right is the other side of my stance...I can say the same too. We go quite far this way..
How Victor Ioutchenko because he was a problematic Ukrainian potential leader, he got poisoned, that Yanukovich was the candidate of a certain country, and was meant to win elections. But wait...it wasn't the bad EU behind it. Nah, it was a superpower on its own country. Feared by many. So yes, I might be in a delusion, but I prefer to be "slave" of European bureaucrats than a Europe border superpower such as Russia, United States...or China? If you want otherwise, your choice.

Actually its not my choice, not at all. The EU has already decided. On the other hand i would prefer to be on the borderline to a beligerant superpower than anexed to some sort of puppet regime... Seriously Jim... WW2 and comunism, the USSR their not comming back, we've gone past that. It was crap for everyone, they collapsed and we lost tons of, well everything. We're all looking ahead to what i seems to be stagnation under the EU flag and promises of prosperity. And yes my own president is a drunk fool and a little man that has no etiquete and vision. He was alected by the majority(than you old people and mister television).

Man...do you realize that USSR was infact a superpower and its satellites depending on it, and isn't similar to EU at all (there's no "superpower" in EU the same as USSR had...), but was infact a communist empire (crazy I know)?
You say you prefer to be borderline to a beligerant superpower, so infact, similar to pre USSR days? To have a second and more indirect version of USSR?

But you meant a situation like that. Just because you don't see that, doesn't mean it wouldn't be this way. And USSR =/= EU. I cannot do anything but facepalm at this kind of cheap comparing.

I'm sure that's what the far right anti EU people think inside. EU is USSR v2. Sorry to tell that...

Your kind refuses to see progresses made even if I listed them. So why should I bother spending time posting them?

Brdavs and I among few others did so in debate section but denial was everywhere to our posts.
USSR=EU is more propaganda than what I ever said about EU. Lolz.

Immediate "win" with this "argument".

well, i guess you can call me british, as i have a british passport and citizenship. allthough i am first and foremost an Israelian.
anyway, i think that was an excellent show of british humor.
and to the point, i think the point is valid. there has to be a discerning between continental affairs and national affairs.
however, let's face it, the only reason for this attack was to get some extra votes in the UK.
OMG, i managed to write that without a single typo.
drunken posting FTW.
i'll come back and read everything when i'm sober.
