Which is already pre-defined so we can tell
It was a suggestion made to add to the customization of the RPG aspect of this game. If you were to have a bunch of Jedis as your race, wouldn't it make sense to be able to allow them to have lightsabers?

It's not like anyone really cares about the predefined values of weapons and which weapon is which. 90% of the players buy the best weapons anyways with the other 10% buying multiple weapons to protect from sabbing. Even if you were to sab, you'd get an intel log to find out how many of each weapon they have. Name's not that important. Just the number and quantity.
And all I'm trying to say is that it'll be exploited to hide what is actually there

Worst argument ever.

Well, whilst were at it, lets rename our stats to other things as well. That way we can charge $20/hour against their cannons. Sounds like a good idea

Its interesting how, in 1 thread, you say it goes against the idea portrayed in the SG series (unascended battling with ascended), and here, your all for removing the traces of the SG series from the game. So which is it?

Perhaps we should partition to have the game name changed to RPGwars instead

You are seriously the biggest idiot I've met and makes me wonder if you've ever watched the series. The addition of the ability to change the name of our races only enhanced the Stargate experience. The Stargate was used to travel to different planets to meet new races and find new technologies. While MGM may have decided to step in and force a change in the name of the game, it added more to the "reality" of the Stargate Universe. The Stargate Universe had significantly more than 4 races and with the addition of the SGU series, we are finding even more races and technologies. Who's to say there isn't a planet of Jedi-like beings using a weapon similar to lightsabers on some distant planet?

An idea like this does not remove any traces of the SG series from the game, it only plays into the idea behind the Stargate itself... multiple worlds with a variety of races each with their own unique technologies.

And on that exact same tact, who is to say that a race out there, whom isn't ascended, can't battle ascended beings?

Off topic. Keep that argument in the other thread.

This thread is about me wanting my Valkyries to be armed with Stinger missiles instead of Quantum Mine Fields or me wanting to create a race of FartKnockers to kick your ass across the galaxy with Flatulence Cannons.
