i forgot to add that my overall ranking has fallen several points because of this.

its normal because u ware consintrating on one part of the bonus offencive/devencive......and not the overal power.......if u ware concentraiting on all powers that your overall rank woud have risen....

I'm glad its evening things up, but not at the expense of my strike action.

as i sad befor...if u warent so concentrated in buying only offencive weapons...and only a couple defenceive then u shoud have seen the true change

as i sad....and manny sad it to me...al races are supose to cover there wechneses not evolve ther bonuses.....

lol u so dont get how much i must invest to eaven out my defence do u? i have a lot more defence weapons than strike and the diffrence is vast while u see a verry little difrence the diffrence is in the millions and thats just being 10 weapons apart u think we all heve aur weapons at 100/20 or so when its more like 50/60 and the diffrence is 4mill or so and cence my attack rank droped 7 ranks it proves how much i got affected while the reps and gouald dident feel a bit so now there stronger while im weaker my defence still sucks and now my strike wich was nice is weaker i see no advantage of this while u see no dissadvantage because your strike and defence was helped out
oh and now the x302 is 66k cheaper ok nice i culd get my attack back to where it was if i had the $ i spent on the x302 when it was 167800 so do i get a refund like paying to much for taxes? i culd buy 34 more for the weapons i have boght and i have overspent on
and im sure its the same way for the asgard

i think the statements about if you have 100offense weapon / 20 defense -- yes -- it will afftect your stike more than you gain in defense (for tauri).
versa visa for asgard.

the Tauri still have a HUGE strike bonus.
The Asgard still have a HUGE defense bonus.

It is just not so huge as before, and you now have at least a hope of defending (tauri) or attacking (asgard) and winning....

knowing what I know, it's definately not the tauri/asgard that should be feeling left out of the good stuff ...

The way I see it:

asgard/tauri -- biggest bonuses (even accounting for the weaker 'opposite') -- least flexibility because of the single focused bonus.

replicator -- mean buggers... covert can destroy before you know they're even there... i think the most challenging one to play....well...

goa'uld - most flexible, balanced race (self balanced)... maybe the most powerful if played well against the weakness of every opponent...

Well I had this huge thing typed up but it took me so long that many posts had been put up and some concerns answered...

I guess the only one I have left is, why couldn't we have at least gained an equal "bit" as we lost. Like... gained 500k in strike for losing 500k in defensive...?

I have slightly more attack weapons as well, so it is not a matter of amounts. Because, the way I see it now, rather than this update giving me a 100k more chance of suceeding an attack, it gives me a 500k worse chance of defending one.

Not complaining, of course, just wondering / talking.

well your defence weapon dose not give u only 125% of the power that a weapon from the goauld get.....write?

my defence weapon is 2700 yours is 2560 so if you do the math mine is only 105% the effectiveness as yours
but this is the problem with the game the bonus should be added on as an overall thing not just as u buy more weapons if all weapons were the same then if i just got an overall def bonus of 25% then that would be the best

well if that woud have been the case then tauri woud have hade more defence than gouauld/replicators...same for asgard attack....write?.....u get as forum sad a huge more attack(tauri)/defence(asgard) bonus compared to the balenced races(goauld and replicators).....so u must lose a portion of your attack so that wen adding defence/attack it eill give u only 25 %.....wich is your race bonus.....

Incase you hadn't noticed, Strike action is really the only thing the Tauri have going for them.

As IF I'm not going to take advantage of the only advantage I have in the game...

corect yours is 2700 and mine 2560...but u do have a extra defence upgread...dont u...one that gives u more than 25%......

That's what i've always figured... but if you say that when fogive me is around he'll... Oh wait he got to you.

Forgive_me, the Asgard and Tauri have a BONUS there. That's why the defensive weapon is more powerful. His point is, the Goa'uld and Reps have no bonus in their offensive, so why should their offensive weapons be more powerful than the Asgard? Just because they have a bonus? The bonus for the Asgard is "25% Defense Bonus" , I've said this before... it does NOT say "25% Defense Bonus in exchange for 25 - 30% less Offense." It's supposed to be a bonus, not a hinderance. (That's how that's spelled, right? )

But if you think that the subtraction from our attack and the Tauri's defense is so fair, then the other races should have penalties for their bonuses too, wouldn't that be, as you like to say forgive_me, balanced?

i assume you are tauri scben ....
and - it is more powerful than ANY other race.... .with the difference in your seige tech, and the 25% bonus... it is greater by a fair bit....
if someone can prove to me this is not the case, means I have made a mistake somewhere and I can fix that....
from my testing/calculations - tauri get a large bonus to each attack weapon. asgard to defense....
but i have been wrong before (and always correct myself!)
