well honestly it's alot like we were discussing, before, you can say tons of words but you can't say them in different contrasts think how do you ban a word that someone could very simply say ow I just pricked my finger... ya know? or ow that was pricky, but by calling someone a prick or insinuating it then they will be warned it's all how the word was contrassed

While I hope not to get a warning nor a rep remand I would believe that it would depend on how you define the word and/or use of it in its application it could be used to describe a pain eg he pricked me or a action he is pricking me. I can see it can be termed offensively but I would guess how you either define it or how you take it.

Bebs has called me a prick on many occassions, and he is truthful in his interpretation of the word is like calling me unreasonable ;)

Members of the SGW community are required to speak courteously to others. Personal attacks on members are not tolerated.

This part of the rules is just ridiculous. People can throw it around as if its Law and also disregard it as a generalization. Just seriously read it. "required to speak courteously to others." Nearly everybody on the forums would be banned if this rule was upheld. Get rid of it, change it, do anything just dont let the wording remain. Or warn everyone for not being courteous and eventually everyone will learn and the forums will be a pardise thanks to big brother looking after us all!

This includes comments about one’s sex, gender, skin colour, religion or cultural heritage.

This is also stupidly vague. Can I say somebody is stupid? Can I compare somebody to a Moose?

You know im thinking of becoming a forum lawyer. Bend the rules whatever way you damn want to get what you want. This is an example of how stupidly bendy they are.

Ok, but that didn't really answer what I asked. But anyway, I know that when you said "ban" you meant "warn". ;)

We shall have a semblance of order. Hold your tongue and discuss the underlying principle in an appropriate thread, not some case-specific thread such as this one, lest we have this argument in each and every thread outside of 'Forum Issues' save there.

Our decision, to recommend a removal of the warning, has been presented to the administration. Once we have a reply, we'll be sure to reproduce it here. Thank you to everybody whose contributions helped.
