I truely lol'd at this
America thinking that have the total power to control the net LMAO
Wonder what will happen when Obama hits the kill switch and every country around the world sue America...basically without the net I am redundant....as many will be I would imagine
I work in IT, what they suggest in not physically possible.....to do so you'd need the sign up of every techincally advanced country on the planet.....never going to happen

Most PCs are already infected with spyware of some kind, corporations gather huge amounts of info on private usage, and government agencies already monitor and analyze keyword searches, and trace people who visit certain types of sites.
All freedom is an illusion, the only surprising thing about this ridiculous bill is that it was publicly made ( probably intentionally for the publicity more than the effect it would have ). If 'they' really wanted it to get the bill passed it would be buried in the 10,000 page of some security bill with an name that wouldnt draw attention

Only place they could cut it, would have a worldwide impact but would not take down the internet and like renegadze said, the financial comebacks would be huge.

The problem is the interne filter here does not block proxies, thus to ass the semi smart people this filter is pointless
