700 mill assass vs 2.5 bill ?
Hit on crit and train assassins, they will most likely be killed first as they are needed to be removed (some) before DM approaches.

If you have a reasonable amount of assassin power while you are offline, then most of your 'farms' will not bother with you, becouse massing is just a waste of turns up there. Most people keep their turns for farming.
But trust me, if someone really-really wants to mass you, then you will be massed no matter what.
To sum it up: keep some assassins
