I see downloading as 'try before you buy' if it worth it I still buy it afterwards, it not then the makers dont deserve my $£$

It's not wasting money, I can think of many things that can be counted as money wasting compared to owning a serie on dvd (a serie you like)...
To think Rome is rated R in the USA...here it was -12 forbidden, now merely -10 forbidden lol.

Rome is the best thing ever . But I think it's low rating in Europe cause they removed a lot of stuff from the first 3 epp. I think thAt's the Rome u watched.. Us ver is insane....

Well, there is rudeness, blood violence, full nudity without masking, sex/"soft porn".
I highly doubt that they would censor for Europe, more the opposite would be logical.

Italy is famous for their rather prude stance regarding nudity, even though they don't completly reject it, obviously. France well not so much (if at all). I don't think in USA you can see nude women without parts censorship, at 8pm, on an available-for-all channel on tv, here, we can. So considering that, I doubt France would have censored version of Rome. Many movies get rated R in USA (in other words -17) for nudity, and receive barely a -12 or -10 rating in France.
Rome isn't only nudity, it's filled with sex murders and profanity. It decreased from -12 when it was on tv (orange symbol) to -10 for dvd (blue symbol).

I guess that's because we are a secular nation..and thus nudity barely receives censorship.
