update: did some digging. looks like the hobo had some more fun in hollywood than I realised.
he seems to have an obsession with Leslie Nielsen.

eh, more like I was in a "OH HEY, HES STALKING YOU" frame of mind.
I mean I can imagine it. on the script of the naked gun, you can hear the director cussing out the hobo to the police, saying how the guy is forcing them to go well overbudget by boneheading in the backround of all the shots.... Leslie despite his cool calm exterior is freaking the **filtered** out, while the hobo while being served a restraining order, is oogling. oogling silently.
Leslie just smiles. a single bead of sweat drips off his brow.
