Indeed. The proposed Mirror and Opposed Houses don't counter each other. They have the exact same effect. In the example; 10% MS bonus against the Mirror House leads to 10% MS bonus; so both MSes are equally bonused. 10% MS bonus against the Opposed House is negated; both MSes are equally bonused. It doesn't even change the death rates when you have the Offense bonus.. and how do you counter a 'no AB' bonus?

in my opinon old skool would mean
planets dont work
raid dont work
ab dont work
ms dont work
ac (maybe maybe not)
just the oldstats of covert defence and strike work no bonuses what so ever for and against.

TBH Oldschool house was the idea, the mirror House was just an after thought as it seemed to be the nearest thing to a practical opposite.
But this is a serious suggestion and I would very much like to see it implemented.

well the old skol house negates recent updates so far negates the ability of no hits within alliance which pratically removes the enemy of this house. since u can hit yr friends then all allainces in that house can hit each-other

With so many players unhappy about updates and reminiscing about Old School gaming, its a shame that this idea has not been progressed further.
I hope Forum looks at this proposal soon.

Would that house really be that popular?
Why would you scorn a % boost to stats?
Free %10 to defense? Nah...screw that...im old school and old school is cool.
Suit yourself...I guess this would give more choice....which is always good.
Or you could just man up, stop looking at things through rose tinted glasses and accept the updates that are given.

The old school houses opposite isnt really needed, and it doesnt need to be anyway, not really a universal rule that every house HAD to have an opposite. As long as the house cant be controlled its really quite a good house to add.
